We are so lucky with all the volunteers who post on AllAboutAcle -from Archives,Acle Good Neighbours, Acle Lands Trust , Allotments, AVA,British Legion, Churches, Library, Schools etc Several more Acle residents have been added as editors to add local pics, info, help, ideas, events and services....we are lucky in Acle having all this shared info and ideas...other suggestions are always welcome.

ACLE COMMUNITY ARCHIVE GROUP.. the first 10 minutes is our AGM then it’s a mine of information… it’s not about OLD BUILDINGS….

If it happened last week it’s now ‘history’ like Acle’s Olivia Nichols winning gold .. her mother… president of Acle’s Tennis club has done an article AS it’s their CENTENARY YEAR..
there’ll be Roman artefacts ( from the 2003 community dig) for the children and adults to handle ... our woodland provided 600 oaks for Queen Elizabeth 1st fleet ..
We were here long before Yarmouth gradually arrived on a sandbank …
… the sea came up to our shore.. the Romans had to sail up where the Acle Straight is..

Acle had its Bridge 300 years before Yarmouth had one.

The King used to keep his cattle on our marshes .. lots died in 1280s floods so he asked Acle folks to build the d**e walls .. and we were exempt from taxes for a while ..

Our Acle Lands Trust manages our beautiful woodlands etc .. there will be pics from local photographers..
. someone from one of our oldest families who danced with Anton Du Beke…with tree and pics…💕
