We left Savusavu to head down to the remote Lau islands in Fiji but this sail was about more than just adventuring. This time, we have an important mission and a really special reason for heading to the island of Lakeba.

MEDICAL SUPPLIES AND SOLAR LIGHTS DELIVERED TO LOMALOMA AND LAKEBA HOSPITALS IN LAU.
Big Vinaka Vakalevu to all the yachties, Vuda Marina, the Royal New Zealand Air Force, Byond Disaster Relief NZ, Days for Girls NZ, Grin Dental Kate Hargraves and to everyone involved in the long logistics chain from New Zealand to make this happen.

YACHTIES DELIVER AGAIN!
More New Zealand donated pharmaceuticals, mobility and cardio equipment, “Days for Girls” menstrual hygiene kits, reading glasses and “Grin” biodegradable toothbrushes are now with our health service providers.
Savusavu Hospital has received their second consignment and Team delivered to Lomaloma Hospital.

Yachties bring Medical Supplies

Every year we arrange for volunteer yachties to bring donated medical supplies from New Zealand.
This year we had additional assistance from The Royal New Zealand Air Force who flew in several hundred kilos of Disaster Response supplies from our friends at Byond Disaster Relief NZ in preparation for next cyclone season.
Yesterday our first medical consignment was delivered to Savusavu Hospital……with more on the way.
