Sabeto Childrens Foundation

Sabeto Childrens Foundation Our Vision
Our goal is to foster and promote mental, physical, spiritual and social growth amongst children. Mr.

The foundation works voluntarily to bring secure and sound openings to a child – looking for trust worthy funders, donors, contributors, volunteers and friends to support our cause for the children of tomorrow. Training and inspiring children to recognize their value; equipping each child to be prosperous in his or her endeavour. Our Mission
Our aim is to facilitate a child’s learning by provisio

n of necessary resources and programmes. It’s dawning
In its original stages a hope of a teacher was that: if children facilitated with extra, yet well planned activities and programmes, the children will achieve better opportunities for sustaining their near future. Timoci Saukuru dreamt that one day the children of his district would become prosperous & proud citizens. Very genuine and educated; reaching heights he could never reach diving depths he would not dive – greater role models. However, his dreams were somewhat blurred by lack of necessary resources and programmes for the children of his district – in fact this is true for most children of the pacific. This dream gave birth to an innovation that will see many children soar heights in achieving and becoming greater and more successful citizens of Fiji. The Organisation
The chair of the board of trustees heads the Foundation. Committed and talented youths and prominent members of the education community affiliate the Trust. The members of trust include individuals appointed by the board of trustees to be ‘Members’. The executive governing body is the board of trustees; that serves as the final decision-making body vetting all planning against fundamental policies of the foundation. Respected members of the education community associate the Education Board, whose role is to finalise and endorse activities, programmes for production with prior approval of the board of trustees. The director of programmes contracts its members and manages the board and its policies for its members. Our PROGRAMMES

Kidz CLUB
The Kidz Club is a social community society for children from the age of 10 – 14yrs. There are six programmes set up for the Kidz Club as assessable activities that will intrinsically develop them to our expectations – as in our Kidz Club values. TRIBES
A training programme similar to Cadet blended with itndigenous Fijian etiquettes, which includes advantageous activities such as first aid, bandaging, knots & lashing, swimming, arts & craft, and a spiritual component. TUWAWA
This is a virtues project for children, teaching them universally accepted values. Through this programme, the children participate in our community service project – with the slogan: “Giants in Service”. TUWAWA is the Betoraurauan word for Giant – the Sabeto language. EcoWarriors
In this programme, children are educated and informed of current environmental issues that affect them and those that can if natural environment is not preserved. It raises awareness on safe and sustainable environmental practises to help them make informed choices in dealing with the environment. In addition, Children will also learn head start scientific reporting and experimentation and practical ways to protect the environment. Na-Drah-Kee (The Weather)
In this learning programme, children learn how to extract and interpret weather information from various sources (such as radio, newspaper, TV, and the internet), understand the weather elements – how they are measured. In addition, the children gain knowledge of climate variability issues affecting pacific island nations; the green house effect and they learn proper ways to adapt to climate change. Children also learn to prepare for extreme weather situations (e.g. Tropical Cyclone) and ways to mitigate the dangers that may occur – creating better disaster resilient communities. Other Programmes include MoneyWise & Cola – for increased fiscal literacy and promotion of best health & wellness lifestyles respectively. We also invite institutions and academics to help improve our programmes. Feel free to contact us:
