This Mother’s Day, the Fiji National University Foundation proudly honours and celebrates the extraordinary women among our staff — our mothers, mother-figures, and all those who embody the spirit of motherhood in their daily lives.

The spirit they carry, and the echoes of their care, extend far beyond our families and workplaces. It is that same compassion, patience, and strength that continues to sustain the FNU Foundation and drive its mission forward — making a meaningful difference in the lives of students who dream of a better future, yet face real and often daunting challenges in their tertiary journey.

Through their quiet sacrifices and unwavering commitment, hope is kept alive. Lives are uplifted. Futures are shaped.

Today, we honour not only what they do, but the heart they bring into everything they touch. They are the unseen strength behind so many stories of perseverance and success.

With deepest gratitude and appreciation, we celebrate you.

Happy Mother’s Day 💐

Over the past two days, the FNU Foundation came together in a deeply meaningful workshop bringing our Foundation Champions, leaders, and partners into one shared space of reflection, purpose, and hope.

As a Foundation established only in 2025, this gathering was more than just a meeting. It was a moment to pause and reflect on a first year shaped by resilience, challenges, and steady determination. From navigating early operational hurdles to building trusted partnerships, every step has been guided by one clear mission, supporting students who need it most.

We were reminded that the heart of this journey has always been our people. From internal staff who contribute through payroll giving, to partners like Swire Shipping, Value City, and FMF Foods Limited, who have helped turn ideas into real support systems such as scholarships, the Veilomani Closet, and the Veilomani Pantry, this is what collective care looks like in action.

Across the two days, Hub Champions from Lautoka, Ba, Namaka, Labasa, and Nasinu shared their experiences, reflections, and commitment to ensuring students are not left behind. Their voices carried a shared truth: behind every initiative is a student whose future can be changed.

Guided by the theme “CHASE the Standard: Excellence in Service, Integrity in Action,” the workshop strengthened alignment, deepened collaboration, and reaffirmed our commitment to building systems that truly serve students across all campuses.

The workshop concluded with a meaningful 'talanoa session' and closing remarks officiated by Fiji National University Vice-Chancellor, Professor Unaisi Nabobo-Baba and the chairman of the FNU Foundation Board of Trustees, Ratu Viliame Seruvakula. Their presence reaffirmed strong leadership support and commitment to the works of the Foundation.

As we move forward, we do so with gratitude for how far we have come and quiet confidence in the road ahead. A road defined by purpose, unity, and the belief that every student deserves the chance to complete their journey and succeed.

Vinaka vakalevu to all who continue to walk this journey with us.

A wonderful and productive morning at our FNU Foundation Nasinu Campus Hub ☀️📚

We were delighted to welcome our students who stopped by the hub today. Many took the opportunity to complete their forms, get important information, and connect with our team in a supportive and friendly environment.

To keep everyone refreshed and energized for the day ahead, we also shared a simple treat coffee and biscuits because we know that even small gestures can make a big difference during a busy day of studies.

Our hub continues to be a space where students can feel comfortable, supported, and motivated as they work towards their goals. We’re always here to lend a helping hand and ensure that every student has what they need to succeed.

Wishing all our students a focused, positive, and productive day ahead. Keep pushing forward - we believe in you! 🌟
