Project H E A V E N Project HEAVEN is a Fijian NGO. Through our programs we bring the power of enhanced vision and hearing to schools around Fiji.

We teach children how to keep their eyes clean and the ears safe. We help parents to prevent the causes of impairments.

We are located at Tamavua House, within the Twomey Hospital/Old Tamavua Hospital area.

🚗 Directions from Suva City:
➡️ Take Princess Road towards Tamavua.
➡️ Continue along Princess Road towards the Old Tamavua Hospital / Twomey Hospital area.
➡️ Look for the Tamavua Hospital/Twomey Hospital grounds.

A successful Ear and Eye Screening was conducted at the Civic Centre, Suva, as part of the Senior Citizens Breakfast during the Hibiscus Festival programme.

The initiative provided our senior citizens with an opportunity to access important health checks while enjoying a morning of fellowship, connection and celebration. 💙

A big vinaka vakalevu to everyone who contributed to making this health and wellness initiative a success. Your support helps promote healthy ageing, dignity and quality of life for our senior citizens. 🌺

👂 Clean Ears, Clear Hearing! 🔊✨
Taking care of your ears is an important part of looking after your overall health. But remember — your ears are self-cleaning!

✅ DO
🧼 Clean only the outer ear gently with a soft cloth.
👂 Keep your ears dry and protect them from excessive moisture.
🎧 Keep headphone and earbud volume at a safe level.
🔇 Give your ears regular breaks from loud sounds.
🩺 Seek professional advice if you notice ear pain, discharge, ringing, dizziness, or reduced hearing.

❌ DON’T
🚫 Insert cotton buds, pins, keys, or other objects into your ear canal.
🚫 Try to remove deep earwax yourself.
🚫 Share earbuds or hearing devices without cleaning them properly.
🚫 Ignore persistent changes in your hearing.
🚫 Expose your ears to loud noise without appropriate protection.

💡 Remember: Earwax is normal and protective. Trying to remove too much can actually damage your ear.
Clean gently. Listen safely. Protect your hearing. 💙👂

Our children’s eyes work hard every day — especially with increasing screen time. Let’s help protect their eye health by encouraging healthy screen habits and making time for what matters beyond the screen.

📱 Take regular screen breaks
👀 Follow the 20-20-20 rule — every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds
🌞 Get outdoors and enjoy natural light
📚 Encourage reading, learning and play away from screens
🩺 Make regular eye checks part of your child’s healthcare routine

Because healthy eyes help children learn, explore, play and grow. 💚

Switch off. Step outside. Look around. PLAY! 🌳

🌟 A Story of Hope and Restoration 🙏🏽
Emele Tinanivalu Dale, 45, shares her story of how she regained clear hearing in her left ear after receiving services at Project Heaven.

For some time, Emele had gone to different places seeking help for her ear problem, but her hearing difficulty continued. It was not until she came to Project Heaven that the issue was identified—a buildup of earwax was blocking her hearing.

After the wax was removed, Emele was able to hear clearly again. She is truly grateful for the care and services she received at Project Heaven. ❤️

Her story is a wonderful reminder of the importance of seeking the right care and not giving up when faced with health challenges.

We are grateful to have been part of Emele’s journey and to see the joy that restored hearing has brought her. 🙏🏽💙
