The Cagimaiwai Women's Cooperative visited Rusiate Tunaulu and Mereia Dicere as part of our community welfare outreach.

Community is not only about working together during celebrations and development projects—it is also about standing beside one another in times of hardship.

Rusiate continues to live with the loss of his beloved mother, who passed away two years ago, while Mereia faces the daily challenges of living with a physical disability. Through a simple visit, shared conversations, prayers, and encouragement, we wanted them to know that they are not forgotten and that they remain an important part of our community family.

As women and mothers, we believe that caring for one another is one of the greatest strengths of a united community. May God continue to bless Rusiate and Mereia with strength, comfort, and hope.

With the prolonged dry weather, the men and youths have once again come together to protect our community water source by building traditional shades over it. This simple but effective practice has been passed down through generations, helping to keep the water cool, reduce evaporation, and protect it from direct sunlight.

In our community, this signals what we know as Level 4—a time when everyone is encouraged to use water wisely and take extra care of our precious water source. Every drop counts, and every household has a role to play.

These are the quiet acts of resilience that often go unseen. They remind us that caring for our environment is not just a responsibility—it's part of who we are.

Vinaka vakalevu to our dedicated youths and men for leading by example. Together, we continue to protect the lifeline of our village for today and for future generations. 💙

As non-communicable diseases (NCDs) continue to rise and impact our families and communities here in Fiji and also our island, our 'Komiji ni Jio Bulabula' came up with a simple but meaningful initiative to encourage everyone to be more active.

Weve decided to join the Wellness Wednesday where men, women, and youths come together to exercise, play, and strengthen our health while enjoying fellowship as one community.

We're especially grateful that our Youth Club was able to contribute by putting to good use the volleyball net, ball, and cones received through the Training of Trainers (TOT) Program by the Fiji Sports Commission and the Ministry of Youth.

What was once training equipment has now become a tool for promoting healthier lifestyles and inspiring our community to move more.

Sometimes, the biggest changes begin with the simplest actions.

Together, we're taking steps towards a healthier, stronger, and happier island—one Wellness Wednesday at a time. 💚🌴

As we welcomed a new month on Sunday, our village elder, Orisi Aliki, shared a powerful 'Vosa ni Vanua' that reminded us of the importance of building a strong family foundation.

In a world that is constantly changing, a strong foundation in our homes, values, and faith gives us the strength to face whatever comes our way.

He also encouraged us to remain true to our identity, culture, and traditions, for these are the roots that define who we are and guide future generations.

He expressed his sincere gratitude to everyone for their contributions to our village. The future of Kavewa is in our hands, and the legacy we leave behind depends on the choices we make today.

May we continue to work together in unity so that the next generation inherits a village rich in values, culture, and opportunity.
