During the final Friday morning classes of the spring season, we’ll get to dance under the guidance of Wilhelmina Ojanen! 🌞🦋
🔸 In Wilhelmina's classes we explore softness and strength in movement. In the classes we practice different ways of moving on the floor, in a spiral, and in space, in relation to oneself, other people, and the world around us. We work on floorwork, task-based improvisation, and choreographic material. In her classes, Wilhelmina encourages you to explore movement with curiosity and by listening to your own body. The class is suitable for performing arts professionals and students.
🔸 Wilhelmina Ojanen is a dance artist, choreographer, and dance teacher from Tampere. She graduated from Trinity Laban MA in Dance Performance in 2018 and from the University of the Arts Helsinki's Theatre Academy MA in Dance Pedagogy in 2023. In 2018-2019, Wilhelmina was a Young Associate Artist at Sadler's Wells Theatre in London, creating choreographic works for the theater's large and small stages. Wilhelmina's choreographic works have been performed in theatres, galleries and outdoor spaces in Finland and abroad. As a performer, Wilhelmina has worked with works by Katrín Gunnarsdóttir, Kardo Shiwan and Hagit Yakira, among others.
