Q***rklubi on järjestö- ja puoluepoliittisesti sitoutumaton, turvallisemman tilan periaatteeseen ja vapautukselliseen linjaan sitoutunut avoin keskustelu- ja tapaamisfoorumi kvääristölle ja liittolaisille. Keskusteluista osa on suomeksi, osa englanniksi. Tervetuloa!

Tämä tapaaminen on taas aikaisemmilta kausilta tuttuun tapaan Arttelin Kuulu-tilassa.

Bodily Autonomy and Inters*x rights.

Speakers: Julia Satakieli & Kaisli Syrjänen from ISIO ry.

When: Wednesday 7.10. at 7-9 pm

Where: Artteli, Kuulu. Mustanlahdenkatu 22, 33210 Tampere

The "Bodily Autonomy and Inters*x Rights" event focuses on the right to bodily integrity for inters*x people and explores the lived experience of being inters*x. We take a look at the human rights situation in Finland and in the EU as well. "Inters*x" is an umbrella term for people whose innate s*x characteristics do not fully fit typical definitions of male or female bodies.

The speakers are Kaisli Syrjänen, Chair of Isio ry (Inters*x Human Rights Association), and Julia Satakieli, an active member of the organization and founder of the Inters*x Visibility -project. Kaisli has extensive experience in human rights activism, both in Finland and internationally.

In 2023, Julia founded the Inters*x Visibility -project, which aims to increase the visibility of inters*x issues in our society. The project has participated in Helsinki Pride for four years organizing demonstration bloc and various discussion events, and has also visited Tampere Pride. The Bodily Autonomy and Inters*x Rights -event will feature a 10-minute clip from the video artwork "My Body, My Rules", which Julia is currently working on.

Q***rklubi is an open discussion and meeting forum for q***r people and allies, uncommitted to organizational and party politics. We are committed to safer space principles and an emancipatory line. Welcome!

Little last minute plans for summer, but welcome everyone to a Q***r Club q***r swimming!

As a Q***r Club EXTRA we will gather at Kaupinojan uimaranta to swim, hang out at the beach and be q***r. The plan is to connect with nature and our community on Thursday 30.7. from 5pm to 8pm.

Many of us might not have gone swimming over the summer, or even in multiple years and we know it can be difficult and stressful. We hope that a community swim meet can create a safe space for all q***r people to feel welcome at the beach!

We can swim, sit down on the beach, or explore the area freely. If the Kaupinoja beach is very full, we can also move to a more quiet area along the trails.

The weather might be very warm and sunny, or it might also rain. We recommend to check the weather the day of and plan accordingly.

You can bring something to sit on and food for yourself and to share. Shared snacks should ideally be vegan, and ingredients listed. Don’t forget hydration!

A safe Tampere - without fascism!

On Vappu, masked attendees of a march organised by the openly fascist Sinimusta Liike beat people and made n**i salutes.

We invite every Tampere resident who does not accept this sort of behaviour to congregate on Sunday 31.5, at 14:00 at Sorin aukio. From there, we will march as one group to Keskustori, to show that in our beloved city, there is no space for hate-spreading fascist groups!
