"Join us at the Forum for Peace Promotion through Art and Local Cultures, a groundbreaking annual event uniting activists, artists, and academics in the use of art and local cultures for peacebuilding. Our mission is to strengthen community ties and focus on conflict situations through artistic means. This initiative stems from scientific research highlighting the need to unite efforts in art-base
d peace construction. The Forum, spanning 3 to 5 days, will gather approximately 500 participants from at least 100 countries, predominantly activists, with a significant presence of researchers and academics. It aims to facilitate a robust international network, encouraging collaboration and exchange of ideas. We propose an innovative hospitality model, inviting locals to host participants in their homes, rekindling the traditional Canarian hospitality overshadowed by mass tourism. All sessions and activities will be recorded and documented, creating a rich archive of interviews and podcasts for global dissemination. Each Forum edition will culminate in a collaborative artistic peace manifesto, akin to a peace-focused "We Are the World". This initiative aims to revolutionize the use of art as a tool for social transformation, bridging art, culture, science, and peacebuilding. We're not just facilitating new research and practical applications in the field but also inspiring deeper local cultural engagement with peace themes. Schools and youth will benefit from an annual influx of new visions and cultural riches. We invite YOU! to join us as pioneers in this transformative journey. Every step we take together is not just progress in the art world but a stride towards a more peaceful, united world. Art changes hearts and minds, and together, we can harness this power for the greater good."
