We are located in Javea Park just off Av de Paris. There is plenty of free parking available. We are situated on a crescent walkway, linking a few shops and cafés. We have a general shop and a boutique, primarily accepting goods as donations. Alternatively, customers can open a client account and place their property for sale by the shops. The client retains 50% of the sale price and donates the remaining 50% to Cancer Care Javea. Please visit anytime...our stock changes daily! WE'RE BACK! 💙

After having to cancel last week's quiz night, we're really pleased to say that our Cancer Care Jávea Weekly Quiz Night is back on this Wednesday! 🎉

So gather your friends, brush up on your general knowledge and join us at Kawana for another fun evening of questions, friendly competition, good food and plenty of laughs, all while helping raise much-needed funds for our amazing Cancer Care Nurse Team. 💙

💙 LUNG CANCER AWARENESS MONTH 💙

Behind every person affected by cancer, there is often a team of people providing care, comfort, reassurance and support when it is needed most.

At Cancer Care Together, our wonderful nurses play an incredibly important role in supporting patients and their families throughout their cancer journey. They offer much more than medical care. They provide advice, a listening ear, practical help and a familiar, reassuring face during some of life’s most difficult moments.

But this vital service doesn’t happen without support.

Our nurses need to be paid, and this is where fundraising becomes so important.

Cancer Care Together receives no government funding. The charity relies on donations, fundraising events and the generosity of our local community to pay for its nursing team and continue providing its services completely free of charge to those who need them.

Every donation, every raffle ticket, every fundraising event and every act of generosity helps us keep this essential service running.

Cancer affects so many people, directly or indirectly, and having someone there to support you can make an enormous difference.

This Lung Cancer Awareness Month, please help us raise awareness, but also remember the importance of raising funds.

🇬🇧🇪🇸 British Consulate and Partners Workshop Update

Last Tuesday, representatives from Cancer Care Jávea, including our Charity President Jeannette Missons Lead Nurse Paula Reed and Nurse Alison Day, attended the British Consulate and Partners Workshop at the Cruz Roja (Red Cross) Provincial Headquarters in Alicante.

It was a really valuable opportunity to meet with representatives from the British Consulate, learn about the support and protection available to British residents living in Spain, and catch up with fellow charities and community organisations, including MABS and Jalón Valley Help.

The workshop covered a number of important topics, including the protection of vulnerable older people, planning ahead for later life, legal support in Spain and updates from the British Consulate team.

Just as importantly, it was a lovely opportunity to connect with other organisations doing such important work in our community. By sharing knowledge, building relationships and working together, we can help ensure that people across our region know where to turn when they need support.

A big thank you to the British Consulate and all those involved in organising such an informative and worthwhile morning.

🥂✨ SAVE THE DATE! A BRAND-NEW SPRING BALL IS COMING! ✨🥂

We are delighted to announce that Cancer Care Jávea and MABS will be joining forces to bring you an exciting new event in 2027: our very first Spring Ball!

Before then, our first event together will be the Lunar Walk, and we are thrilled to be starting this new partnership with such a special occasion. We are already looking forward to working together on more fantastic events, including this fabulous Spring Ball.

💗 BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH | SALLY’S STORY 💗

As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we are delighted to share another heartfelt message from one of the lovely ladies we have been supporting, Sally Maher Stevens.

Sally was diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2025. The diagnosis came as a huge shock, particularly as she had absolutely no symptoms.

From that very first day, Sally made the decision to carry on living her life, doing the things she wanted to do and making sure nothing was left unsaid. ❤️

Throughout her journey, the team at Cancer Care Jávea have been a lifeline.

From accompanying Sally to her appointments, providing an extra pair of ears to take in all the medical information, to translating from Spanish into English, their support has been invaluable, particularly during those early months when everything can feel overwhelming.

Sally is currently undergoing radiotherapy and says that throughout these months she has received not only emotional support but also plenty of laughter, chats and shared stories along the way.

In Sally’s words, the team are a “wonderful bunch of ladies”, and she knows they are always just a phone call away whenever she needs them. 💕

We would like to thank Sally for sharing her experience with us. By sharing these personal stories, we hope to show just how important the support of Cancer Care Jávea can be to people affected by cancer and their families.

🎃 STRUGGLING TO FIND YOUR HALLOWEEN OUTFIT? DON’T PANIC, YOU’VE STILL GOT A WEEK! 👻

Why not pop down to Cancer Care Charity Shop in Jávea Park and see what bargains you can find?

You might be surprised at what you can create with a few inexpensive charity shop finds! We’ve put together a couple of ideas to show you how easily everyday clothes can be transformed into fantastic Halloween outfits.

🧙‍♀️ THE WITCH

We have two black dress options, depending on the style and length you prefer:

🖤 Short black dress – just €5. Perfect for a witch’s outfit, but equally lovely to keep for a Christmas party or evening out afterwards!

🖤 Long black dress – only €4. A lovely alternative if you prefer a longer style.

🖤 Black blouse – just €5.

🖤 Black suede boots – only €4, and in excellent condition!

Add a pointed witch’s hat and perhaps a grey wig, and you’ve got yourself a fabulous Halloween look!

You can leave the clothes as they are and wear them again, or, if you don’t mind transforming them permanently, cut some jagged edges into the dress and blouse to create a spookier effect.

🧟 THE ZOMBIE

For the men, we’ve also put together a zombie outfit using a checked shirt and a pair of trousers from the charity shop.

A little tearing, a few rough edges and some fake blood or dirt, and you’ve got a brilliant zombie costume without spending a fortune!

The best bit? You don’t have to spend lots of money on an outfit you’ll only wear once. Start with inexpensive clothes and let your imagination do the rest!

💙 AND REMEMBER, EVERY PURCHASE MAKES A DIFFERENCE!

Money raised through Cancer Care Jávea’s charity shops helps fund our wonderful Cancer Care nurses, who provide a free service to people in our local community affected by cancer, as well as offering support to their friends and families.

So, while you’re picking up a Halloween bargain, you’re also helping to make a real difference to local people when they need it most. ❤️
