“It is not that people won’t betray you. It is not that your heart won’t break again and again. Opening to whatever is present can be heartbreaking business. But, let the heart break, for your breaking heart only reveals a core of love unbroken.

Under the anger, under the fear, under the despair, under the broken-heartedness, there is a radiance that has never been harmed.

True forgiveness and love arise naturally, effortlessly, from the silence of the heart broken all the way open.”

“The old native teaching was that it is wrong to tear loose from its place on the earth anything that may be growing there. It may be cut off, but it should not be uprooted. The trees and the grass have spirits.”

Can you feel it…? ✨ Right at the centre of these unraveling times, from the compost of crumbling old systems, something else is emerging. And it is something beautiful. New ways of living, organising, relating, and imagining the future. 🤲🏼🌼🌿

Your psych€delic facilitator going on a rant again. ☮️

Healing ourselves and healing the planet are not separate acts.

Besides the horror and tragedy of direct human suffering in places of conflict, war is a deeply ecological crisis; an ecocide.

We cannot bomb our way to a living planet. Peace is an act of earth stewardship. Compassion is political. And both require action.

Go to protests. Vote anti-war. Boycott. Divest. Peace is ACTIVELY created, not just wished for.

There is a place within us where the old pain lives, tucked beneath the surface of things, coiled in the subconscious like something the sea once swallowed.

The shell is our protector. Our nervous system, that loyal and fierce but primal friend, builds its walls whenever the ghost of a past threat stirs; however subtle, however distant from the original wound. And so the body contracts. The shell closes. We harden. And we loop through the same old suffering, the same story, the same discord in our relationships, the same mystery ailments settling into the body like sediment.

But what if we turned, slowly and with great tenderness, to face what lives inside?

What if we brought our direct, unhurried gaze onto the vulnerability itself — the tension, the contraction, the unnameable ache of the suffering — and let the light of our own consciousness rest there, warm and without judgement or agenda?

Here is an extraordinary discovery to be made.

The stuck and hurting places slowly, slowly begin to melt. The ghost loses its grip.

And right there, in the very tenderness we were most afraid to touch, we find it.

Layer by layer, something luminous was growing in the dark al along. Wild. Iridescent.

The very thing we have spent a lifetime guarding, avoiding, armouring against, the raw and trembling centre of our wound, is precisely where the most precious gift is to be found.

A wild pearl born from the wound.

Rest in your shell, dear one. And when you are ready, look.

The treasure was never outside you… 🦪💎

If you need guidance with this, I offer online 1:1 Somatic Inquiry sessions to help you face it all and find your treasure. Link in bio 🤲🏼

Today, on Earth Day, I’d like to share this sweet photo of my beloved island Ibiza taken somewhere in the seventies, around the time when my mum first set foot on her red earth and fell in love.

It was a time before designer bags, private jets, fillers, VIP lounges, Rolexes and gas chugging SUV’s, when my mum, as she tells me, would put on cowboy boots over her pyjama pants to go dancing at open air club KU, at the time an explosion of creativity (and nudity haha), now mega club UNVRS.

Many of the roads were unpaved, and the hundreds of “calas” were little unspoiled pieces of paradise, free from water consuming hotel chains, cruise boats and high fenced villas.

I can count myself lucky to have experienced the tail-end of those times in the late eighties and nineties, when we could still leave the house unlocked and the sheep could wander free over the fence-free land. I used to have a lizard friend who would show up every day at 4:30pm after we’d come home from school for a piece pf tomato. The island’s endemic species of lizards is now in severe danger of extinction because of imported olive trees from the mainland carrying snakes who eat them.

Also spirituality seemed less about self gain; in a way more humble, authentic, devotional and land & community oriented.

It breaks my heart so see and feel what has become of this island. And still, she doesn’t cease to blind me with her natural beauty. 😭🙌🏼🩵

And this is just one of the many places of incredible beauty and magical diversity on this planet we get to call Home.

With all our heart and might, let’s protect what is left of her, Mother Earth, who provides us, entirely freely and abundantly, with all we need. Literally. Food, water, fresh air to breathe. Life itself. Even magical mind-altering plants and fungi to help us heal. I mean, you can’t make this up. It is a paradise here and we get to live in it.

It’s all that matters, really. If you commit to something, anything at all in this lifetime, commit to protect Her. To re-diversify Her. To regenerate Her. To fall back in love with Her.

Ostara, the pre-Christian Goddess of spring. Easter belongs to the earth and to the life-force of blossom after frost. Resurrection. It’s what the trees and plants are doing right now.

May whatever died in you this winter find its way back to light. 🌼🌱🥲💫
