E-mates is happy and proud to share such participation!
On December 7th 2025, Mansoura University has participated in “Safe and Inclusive Campuses in the Arab Region” Conference, held at the American University in Cairo, under the supervision of Prof. Samah El-Saied, Head of the Anti-Violence against Women Unit at Mansoura University.
In this conference, and as a part of the 16 days of Activism , E-mates fam has participated in the student panel “Shared Responsibility: Building Safer Campus Cultures” as Rola Waleed, our Vice-President and Ahmed Hassan, PR Vice-Officer took part in it with other students from different universities.
The idea for this panel emerged from research on gender-based violence in the Arab region, which revealed that survivors often face not only the violence itself but also significant stigma within their own communities, families, and social circles. This stigma adds a second layer of harm, where the victim must navigate both the original violence but also the judgment, disbelief, or silence of those around her.
This conference was a collaboration with Lebanese American University , New York Abu Dhabi University and Mansoura University.
