From Upper Egypt, Learning Rockets is breaking barriers to quality education, making learning more accessible, inclusive and sustainable. 🌱📚

As one of the SMEs participating in the Green Growth and Jobs Accelerator Project (GGJAP), implemented by UNDP Egypt in partnership with Flat6Labs and New Silk Roads, Learning Rockets is integrating the SDGs into its work and measuring its environmental impact.

Exploring what the green transition means for youth, and what they can bring to it. 🌱

As part of the Youth for Sustainability (Y4S) initiative under the Green Growth and Jobs Accelerator Project (GGJAP), we joined Heliopolis University’s Sustainability Week for an interactive session introducing students to Y4S and exploring the skills, career pathways and opportunities emerging from the green transition.

Through the Green Innovation Lab, students developed and presented green solutions to real-world challenges, connecting sustainability with their future careers. We also joined the panel “Rethinking Leadership in Times of Uncertainty,” exploring how leadership can evolve amid climate change, technological disruption, economic volatility and other complex challenges, with a focus on adaptability, collaboration, systems thinking and long-term purpose.

Y4S is part of the Green Growth and Jobs Accelerator Project (GGJAP), a UNDP-implemented project delivered with Flat6Labs and New Silk Roads as implementing partners, under the Danish-Arab Partnership Programme (DAPP) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.

🇪🇬🇩🇰🇺🇳 One room. Countless possibilities.

The Danish-Egyptian Dialogue Initiative (DEDI) Innovation Exchange 2026 in Copenhagen brought 15 young Egyptian innovators together with Danish peers, institutions and innovation partners for a day of learning, exchange and hands-on collaboration.

At DTU Skylab, the Open Innovation Challenge kicked off with a shared question: How might we use intelligence, design and technology to turn plastic waste into a valuable resource for a circular economy? ♻️ Co-designed by UNDP Egypt, Creativa Innovation Hubs, Technology Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC) and Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), the challenge puts circularity, technology and youth-driven innovation at the centre.

The day also marked a new partnership between UNDP Egypt and the Lifestyle and Design Cluster in Denmark, signed by our Resident Representative Chitose Noguchi, opening further connections between Egypt’s young innovators and Denmark’s design, innovation and green entrepreneurship ecosystem.

A strong start to an exchange built around one idea: bringing people together to co-create solutions for the challenges ahead. 🌱

انطلقت في كوبنهاجن فعاليات برنامج «تبادل الابتكار DEDI 2026»، بمشاركة 15 شابًا وشابة من المبتكرين المصريين إلى جانب نظرائهم من الدنمارك، بهدف تبادل الخبرات وتطوير حلول مبتكرة ومستدامة للمدن. وشهد اليوم الأول إطلاق تحدي الابتكار المفتوح، الذي يركز على توظيف الذكاء والتصميم والتكنولوجيا لتحويل المخلفات البلاستيكية إلى مورد ذي قيمة ضمن الاقتصاد الدائري، بالتعاون بين برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي في مصر ومراكز كريتيفا للابتكار وهيئة تنمية صناعة تكنولوجيا المعلومات ومركز الإبداع التكنولوجي وريادة الأعمال.
