March is when more people hear about us, but WOMAN SCREAM takes a full year of preparation.

Once we open the call for participation, people from all over the world join our cause. We create free spaces for participation and support the voices of those who have much to say about the different forms of violence affecting women and girls around the world.

We bring together poetry, art, and activism, but our strength lies in bringing strong voices together for a more just world.

Our social awareness campaigns and community events are coordinated simultaneously in different cities, taking the message even further. These actions are made possible by the wonderful people who support us by coordinating and participating. People who become part of the movement and help it grow with every edition of WOMAN SCREAM.

The international festival is the visible part. Behind every activity are courageous people who work with dedication to make it happen.

WOMAN SCREAM is made by many hands, with love, so that it can reach yours.

Support us, share, participate. You have a VOICE too, and that matters.

We are Woman Scream.

People don’t come to our cause just to listen. They come because they want to be part of it.

Men, women, families, and entire communities come together because they believe in the common good and in the possibility of creating real change through culture and the arts.

Whenever we organize a cultural event, our goal is to bring people together around an important message: respect, self-esteem, and an end to violence against women and girls.

We also want that message to go beyond the event itself. Beyond the room, the stage, or the date. We want people to carry it with them, share it with others, and help turn it into hope.

That is why we continue building Woman Scream, a cultural network that connects communities, opens conversations, and creates a stronger sense of commitment than a single campaign can achieve.

When we come together, the world hear us. Join us.

Violence against women has changed its stage, but it hurts just the same. Today, the war is also being fought on screens.

The insults, harassment in comments, creation of fake images, and digital control are not simple internet jokes. They are real forms of aggression that seek to silence women and erase them from public spaces.

Social media attacks isolate, intimidate, and damage the mental health of thousands of women every day. We cannot normalize that browsing the internet means receiving threats or hate speech.

Digital impunity transfers to the streets. That is why demanding safe virtual spaces and holding those who abuse behind a screen accountable is a fundamental part of our resistance.

If you are also tired of online hostility, share this post to break the pattern.

Behind every conflict-ridden border, there is a scream that the world can no longer ignore. 🌍💔

Today, we raise our voices for the most silent and heartbreaking crisis of our time: the plight of migrant women and girls in war and conflict zones.

They are not only fleeing bombs; they are fleeing a double danger. Along the paths of displacement, women’s bodies become extensions of the battlefield. They face gender-based violence as an invisible toll, absolute legal defenselessness when crossing borders, and overcrowding in shelters where basic safety is a luxury.

According to global data, nearly 83% of human trafficking victims along these routes are women and girls. Behind this statistic, there are no mere numbers, there are lives, names, and shattered dreams. When borders close or systems fail, their human rights are left suspended in a limbo of oblivion.

Forced migration due to war is not a choice; it is a desperate battle for survival.

From the Woman Scream cause, we demand safe passage, legal justice regardless of migration status, and an end to the violence that pursues them at every step.

No woman should pay for the right to live in peace with her dignity! Our voice is their shield. We are screaming! ✊💜

Rose Valland

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1JE7CpELSv/?mibextid=wwXIfr

Rose Valland spent four years watching the N***s loot France while quietly keeping a record of what they stole.

When German forces occupied Paris in 1940, the Jeu de Paume museum became a sorting center for thousands of artworks seized primarily from Jewish collectors and dealers. Paintings by Picasso, Matisse, Cézanne and other major artists passed through its rooms before being sent to Germany or claimed by N**i officials.

Valland, a French curator who remained at the museum, was allowed to stay because the Germans considered her useful and apparently harmless. They did not realize she understood German.

That mistake proved costly.

Without drawing attention to herself, Valland listened to conversations, copied shipping information and recorded names, destinations, train numbers and details about individual artworks. She sometimes worked from scraps of information she had seen only briefly. Discovery could have meant arrest, deportation or death.

She also witnessed Hermann Göring visit the museum repeatedly to select works for his personal collection.

Valland kept much of what she was doing secret, even from colleagues. By 1944, her information had become more than a private record. As Allied forces approached Paris, she learned that trains containing stolen art were preparing to leave France and passed crucial information to the Resistance. One shipment was prevented from reaching Germany.

After liberation, Valland did not simply hand over her notebooks and disappear. She joined the French First Army as a captain and went to Germany, helping locate repositories where stolen collections had been hidden. Her records contributed to the recovery of tens of thousands of works.

For years, she had occupied one of the least conspicuous positions in the room: a quiet museum employee standing near men who assumed she understood nothing.

She was taking notes.

Woman Scream: Our Commitment Against Child Marriage in Brazil

Continuing our mission against child marriage, we gathered at the Legislative Assembly of the State of São Paulo, Brazil, with partners in our cause. This event reinforces our dedication to childhood protection and the fight against early marriages, an initiative launched two years ago with a focus on schools, given the alarming increase in cases across the country.

Collaborators and allies of the 15th Woman Scream Festival (Grito de Mulher) convened in Brazil, thanks to our coordinator Soira Celestino, the festival’s representative in the country, with the support of Deputy Maria Luísa, yesterday, at the Alesp premises.

The central theme of the event was “Child Marriage: It’s Not a Game.” According to research conducted by Unifecaf, Brazil currently ranks 4th globally in formal child marriages—a statistic that underscores the urgency of this debate.

The event featured the participation of the President of Associação Manas Pretas, who joined Ednusa Ribeiro on the panel to present the organization’s projects and actions. Other committed institutions also participated, such as Bibli-ASPA Centro de Cultura, which showcased its project supporting refugee women and girls through art, as well as Plan International Brasil and other allied organizations.

Also present were Professor Carlos André, an activist for children’s rights and a writer, and Dr. Cleide Aparecido Vitorino, whose intervention concluded the event with a profound reflection on the necessity of combating child marriage in our society.

We extend our gratitude to all institutions, activists, and collaborators who participated in this crucial event in defense of girls’ rights in Brazil.

The name of our cause is translated into many languages and is lived in different realities depending on the country we reach, but at its core, the heartbeat that unites us is the same. One cause, one scream.

From Spanish to Serbian, from French to German, our name is a bridge toward the same goal: a life free of violence for all women and girls.

No matter how it is pronounced, the feeling is one. The accents change, the landscapes change, but the urgency of justice and the strength of our resistance know no borders.

We are a global network of voices that refuse to be silenced. People standing in solidarity, seeking the common good.

Do you know how the scream is said in another language? Share it with us.

For many women, keeping life alive among the ruins is not an act of heroism; it is their everyday reality.

War tears apart the earth and extinguishes the lights of their homes, yet it is women and girls who continue carrying the heartbeat of what remains of a broken humanity. Motherhood in the midst of devastation is a painful and urgent miracle. It means whispering lullabies through the sound of bombings to quiet fear, fleeing with nothing but what they can carry across invisible borders, and tending to open wounds with no medicine other than pure love and resilience.

Girls watch their childhoods disappear in an instant under the flames of war, but the unbreakable strength of women reminds us that peace is not a privilege to be negotiated, but a fundamental right that must be protected and defended.

When the weapons finally fall silent and the dust settles, they rise. They rebuild communities from their foundations, weave invisible networks of solidarity, and raise roofs where there were once only ashes. They are not trophies of war nor silent victims; they are the true architects of resilience and the guardians of one another.

Today, we raise our voices for women living in conflict zones, for their pain, their struggle, and their extraordinary resistance.

Join our scream. Leave a message of support for these brave women in the comments and share this post so the world can hear them.

We are art and poetry in resistance. We are SCREAM.

A LEGACY OF VOICE AND VISION.

We are beyond proud to announce that the 11th International Book Fair New Jersey 2027 (FILNJ) will be dedicated to our founder, Jael Uribe.

Since 2009, Jael has been a relentless force in global literature, pioneering projects that amplify female voices and champion the fight against violence toward women and girls. This prestigious dedication honors decades of her unwavering commitment through the International Women Poets Movement and the Woman Scream International Festival.

Under her leadership, Jael has woven a global tapestry of activists, artists, and institutions across more than 70 countries. She has proven that poetry and art are not merely aesthetic; they are vital instruments of resistance, bridges to justice, and sacred sanctuaries for those who need them most.

We celebrate this well-deserved tribute to a woman who has transformed cultural management into a profound act of courage and unconditional love.
