Today, VFW Post 9334, alongside members of District 3, Department of Europe, came together in a spirit of gratitude and remembrance to honor the Vietnam Veterans in our community. As we mark the official anniversary of the Vietnam War, we pause not only to reflect on history, but to recognize the courage, sacrifice, and enduring legacy of those who served.

Through a meaningful partnership with Defense Commissary Agency Grafenwoehr and Grafenwoehr Exchange, we were proud to offer a small token of appreciation—providing food, fellowship, and a welcoming space for connection. More importantly, the day was filled with heartfelt moments, as community members warmly greeted and shook hands with Veterans whose service helped shape the strength and resilience of our armed forces today.

It was a powerful reminder that their sacrifices are not forgotten—and that their legacy continues to inspire future generations.

We extend a heartfelt thanks to VFW Tower Post 10692, VFW Kitzingen Post 10436, and VFW Department of Europe JVC Michael Konsavage for showing up in such strong support of this meaningful event. Your presence and commitment helped make this opportunity truly special, and your willingness to stand with us in expressing gratitude to those who support our mission does not go unnoticed. We want to thank our brave and courageous Vietnam Veterans for their sacrifices and service to our nation. We are working with the Grafenwoehr Exchange and the Grafenwoehr Defense Commissary Agency to make this event a huge success.

There will be free hamburgers, hot dogs, and drinks for everyone who comes out to meet and thank our community Vietnam Veterans for their sacrifices and service. We will also be holding a few small raffles as well for all community participants.

When two VFW Posts unite to exemplify the importance and create a larger impact for the community the results will be speak for themselves. I ask of everyone for moment of prayer or reflection to their families and loved ones for over the next few days as their lives are forever changed, to include anyone who knew or served with them.

Nothing brings more happines into your day than a smile. Especially if that smile is on the face of a child. This weekend we went to the local orphanage and hosted our holiday luncheon. The kids and staff were excited to see us again with an abundance of great food and snacks for everyone.

The kids performed a small musical performance for us to show us their appreciation for everything we do over the past year. It was a great day and feeling to see so many smiling faces and laughter in the air.

It takes a village... to feed the Army! Today we helped 2d Cavalry Regiment serve Thanksgiving chow to the troops. Giving a helping hand in the kitchen and service line to ensure everyone was well fed and happy. We had the VFW Department of Europe JVC Michael Konsavage come meet the troops and provide stories about the good ol'times.

Many of the younger troops loved sharing a meal with members of the community and interacting with one another. This provided an opportunity for younger service members to hear some wisdom and guidance that can be forgotten.

Commander Breckheimer assisted many of the service members with their ties in their service uniform as they didn't know how to tie them properly. Mentoring and educating is what the VFW is about!

It was great to meet the command and staff of 2CR again and share a few smiles and laughs again along with sign up some new members to the VFW.
