Military spouses are the backbone of our military community, providing unwavering support while navigating the unique challenges of military life. That’s why AFSA is proud to partner with the Military Family Institute to host The Ascent: Military Spouse Gathering during Summit week in Orlando.

From August 10 -12, military spouses will have the opportunity to invest in themselves through leadership development, personal growth, meaningful connections, and a supportive community that understands the military journey.

FAMILY MATTERS w/Carey Crance, AFSA International Family Matters Trustee | HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY WEEKEND!

Thank you, Division 3, for inviting me to your convention last week. It was great to see many of your members, even if it was online. Hopefully, I will see you all in person soon. During their convention, we spoke about a lot concerning our families. One of the items we touched on was childcare.
Access to childcare is impacting members across all forces. Division 3’s newly elected Vice President put together a survey to gather data on the issues our members are facing. My ask is this: please take a moment and fill out the survey. Share the survey as you see fit. The more data we have as an association, the better informed we can be.

FAMILY MATTERS w/Carey Crance AFSA International Family Matters Trustee | Happy Friday AFSA Fam! Especially to all of my fellow military spouses. Today is your day. Happy Military Spouse Appreciation Day! Yes, you need to be celebrated. You’ve had to bend and flex with all of the changes your military member has had to go through, too. From finding new homes, new providers, and possibly new friends. There is a lot.

I still have people asking, “How does AFSA help military spouses?” Here’s how AFSA is worldwide. Wherever your service member goes, there is likely an AFSA chapter nearby. AFSA has many professional development opportunities not just for the service member but for YOU, the spouse. Don’t believe me? AFSA is at the forefront of advocating for our military spouses and families, from healthcare to education to employment, AFSA is there.
