🍂🎉 CELEBRATING OUR OCTOBER VOLUNTEERS OF THE MONTH! 🎉🍂

This week, we’re shining a spotlight on two outstanding volunteers whose time, talents, and enthusiasm help make the USO community stronger: Katelyn Osterlind, our USO UK Volunteer of the Month, and Angel Lomboy, our USO Deployment Processing Center Volunteer of the Month!

❤️ Katelyn Osterlind – USO United Kingdom

A member of the volunteer team since 2024, Katelyn has given nearly 100 hours to the USO UK! You might find her serving hot chocolate to trick-or-treaters during Big Ben programs, stacking pancakes at Flightline Friday, or mixing ice cream floats during Frozen Fridays. Beyond the fun, Katelyn also serves as the team’s Newcomers lead, helping incoming service members and their families connect with valuable resources as they settle into life in England. She’s helping make a new place feel a little more like home!

❤️ Angel Lomboy – USO Deployment Processing Center

Angel is the kind of volunteer who seems ready for just about anything! Whether there’s a guitar to string, a task to tackle, an outreach opportunity to support, or a grill to master, Angel brings a can-do attitude and positive energy to the center. More than the time he gives, it’s his genuine heart and willingness to help that make him such a valued part of the team.

Katelyn and Angel, thank you for sharing your time, talents, and enthusiasm with the USO. From welcoming newcomers to supporting outreach and creating memorable experiences, you help make our centers places where people feel connected and supported.

👏 Please join us in congratulating Katelyn and Angel on their well-deserved recognition!

🎉👏 BIG HEARTS, BIG IMPACT! 👏🎉

Please join us in congratulating two more amazing USO volunteers! Anthony Tran and Christian Landeros Galves have been selected as USO Volunteers of the Month for October 2026! 🌟

💛 Anthony Tran – USO Warrior Center

Since beginning his volunteer journey on July 30, Tran has contributed an incredible 250+ volunteer hours while serving on active duty! Visitors to the center are likely to recognize his warm smile and welcoming energy. Whether a task needs tackling, something new needs learning, or someone simply needs a friendly face, Tran is ready to help. His kindness and enthusiasm help make everyone who walks through our doors feel welcome. And a fun fact? Tran speaks Vietnamese!

💛 Christian Landeros Galves – USO Spangdahlem

Christian brings his energy and dedication to the USO by helping make community events memorable. From supporting holiday celebrations to leading the grilling station at two summer events, he helps bring Saber Nation together one plate at a time. Even with a busy work schedule, Christian makes time to support service members and military families, helping strengthen the connections that make our community special.

Anthony and Christian, thank you for showing us that volunteering is about more than hours. It’s about the kindness, effort, and community spirit you bring every time you show up!

🎉 Help us give these two outstanding volunteers a huge round of applause!

It takes a village and our village showed up. Our annual Fall Fest brought pumpkin painting, food, and fun games to the community, and none of it would've happened without our sponsors Service Credit Union, Patriot Military Automobiles, MIRASCON Insurance Agency, and SWK Stadtwerke Kaiserslautern, plus every community partner who hosted games and activities. Thank you for making it memorable!

🎉🌟 OCTOBER VOLUNTEERS OF THE MONTH! 🌟🎉

Join us in celebrating two incredible members of our USO volunteer family: Israel Martinez De Leon, our USO Baumholder Volunteer of the Month, and Angela Ritter, our USO Ramstein Volunteer of the Month!

💙 Israel Martinez De Leon – USO Baumholder

Since joining the team in April, Israel has already logged nearly 100 volunteer hours! As an active-duty service member, he brings the same spirit of service to the USO, always ready to lend a hand wherever he’s needed. From supporting major events like MOMC and Sun & Fun to tackling behind-the-scenes tasks, Israel never hesitates to jump in. He’s even encouraged fellow service members to volunteer, helping our USO family grow!

💙 Angela Ritter – USO Ramstein

Angela joined the Ramstein team in late July and has already contributed an impressive 147 volunteer hours! Her willingness to learn, adapt, and help wherever needed has made her an invaluable part of the team. Whether supporting daily center operations or joining event crews across Ramstein, Angela brings responsibility, encouragement, and a genuine drive to serve.

Israel and Angela, thank you for the time, energy, and heart you give to our military community. Your willingness to show up, pitch in, and support those around you makes a real difference!
