Have you ever experienced a hurricane that changed everything? 🌪️

Bishop Gabriel Malzaire has lived through many hurricanes—some mild, others devastating. The first he remembers was Hurricane Beulah in 1967, a storm far gentler than those that would follow.

When Hurricane Allen struck in 1980, he was still a seminarian, yet even then he witnessed how disaster can reshape lives in an instant.

One of the most painful moments came after a recent storm, returning home to Dominica and finding the island covered in debris, destruction, and loss.

Still, amid the chaos, the resilience of Caribbean people continues to shine. Homes are rebuilt, communities come together, and hope endures. Because true strength is not only about surviving the storm—it’s about continuing forward together.

💔 When Boko Haram stormed their village, they gave her husband an ultimatum: convert or die. He chose Christ. They beheaded him before her eyes, then dragged her into a forest prison for nearly two years of starvation and torture.

Through the horror, her resolve never broke: "I won't die a Muslim. I will not renounce my faith." 💪✨

Faith sustained her in the darkness—now, we must stand in the light for her. Religious freedom is a human right, not a privilege.

A prayer for the Sahel. 🌍🙏

⚠️ 🆘 The region has become a theater of terror, where our brothers and sisters in , , , and face kidnapping, displacement, and death because of their faith.

Today, we pray:

⚫ For the suffering: That they may remain steadfast and find the path to reconciliation. 🕊️

⚫ For the persecutors: That they may find repentance and be converted to peace.

⚫ For the world: That the instruments of evil be restrained and the cycle of hatred end.

Lord, we trust in You. Amen. ✝️🕯️
