✧ Greetings All, please read the Love Large Print Project (LLPP) End of Year Newsletter (below) 〜 written by our founder, Wendy Imashev! ✧
"What a wonderful year we have had at LLPP in 2025 - and there is so much more to look forward to in 2026 too...
First of all, I would like to thank everyone who has worked voluntarily to help make Love Large Print Project (LLPP) the success story it is today. Without your valuable contributions, steadfast support, and loyalty to our mission we could not have achieved all the milestones set for the year.
Thanks to you we have surpassed expectations and started a National Conversation on the relevance and need to promote Large Print Publicationsfor readers, writers, performing artists, and book lovers across the UK who are vision impaired, dyslexic, and those who suffer from Neurodiverse medical conditions"...etc.
"LLPP would also like to acknowledge and give heartfelt thanks to all our Community Support Partners, Supporting Artists, Writers, Poets, Performing Artists, Publishers, Libraries, Festival Teams, and to all who visited our LLPP stand at Hay-on-Wye.
We have learned so much from you all – thank you for caring and sharing!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
・A special mention and thanks go to Boldwood Books Large Print Publishers and to one of their top selling and prolific Authors - Judy Leigh. Your support at our Launch and then throughout our Campaign year gave us a tremendous boost which was much appreciated. We have enjoyed our ongoing communications and collaborative efforts with you and your team. Many Thanks!
・LLPP would also like to give a big THANK YOU to Ulverscroft Foundation/ Reading House for helping us as we move into a new phase of working collaboratively with your wonderful organization and Fab Team. We enjoyed our tour of your impressive facilities and it was wonderful to see so many good Authors and great books in Large Print on so many shelves in your Warehouse.
・Most importantly now, I would like to thank my family and friends for their support and for looking after things at home whilst LLPP was away on the Campaign Trail. I should give a special mention to Dr. Rosie Freedman – LLPP Health Psychologist, for her work in providing health and well being support to our team in times of stress and for keeping us on track.
・Last but not least, my thanks and appreciation go to the ‘two Jessica’s’ who performed with me at the festivals and other LLPP events – that is:
Jessica Wright–Wilkie (my right hand woman), social media manager, and a member of our performing troupe who sings like an Angel.
My heartfelt thanks and gratitude is also given to Jessica Taggart Rose – who is a wonderful performance poet, a diligent social enterprise leader, and a dutiful daughter.
Without the encouragement, engagement, support and participation of all the above people and organizations aforementioned, Love Large Print Project would not have flourished, so, once again ‘Thank you everyone’ for your erstwhile efforts. You should all be proud of the role you played in the success of LLPP.
Love Large Print Project (LLPP) can now move into a new phase of working collaboratively with others who share our passion in working towards common goals to better service our target groups and to improve accessibility, inclusivity and diversity across a rich and broad arena of Literature and Performing Arts.

LLPP End of Year newsletter (2025) continued………
Let us ‘sum up’ LLPP’s wonderful
year of 2025.
・February - Love Large Print Project (LLPP) was successfully launched at Poole Lighthouse Arts & Entertainment Centre where we shared a delicious lunch, drank a Champagne Toast, enjoyed a wonderful Poetry Performance, Displayed our mobile library of large print book editions, and held a very entertaining Book Auction which raised some much needed funds for our Campaign.
*At this point I should give a special mention and thanks to ‘feel good’ Author Judy Leigh for her encouragement, support, and for being such a ‘Good Sport’ in agreeing to Auctioneer her own books at the Launch – it was great fun!
LLPP also give thanks and appreciation to Boldwood Books Large Print Publishers who have supported our campaign all year and provided us with some large print books to add to our mobile large print library.
・March - LLPP was represented at the London Book Fair, Olympia. Where volunteers canvassed the whole of Olympia Stadium and set up meetings with Authors and Publishing groups in England, Ireland, France, Italy, China and Japan – a ‘sterling’ effort!
・April – LLPP Schools Initiative commenced with our pilot program in collaboration with the Portland Atlantic Academy. LLPP organized short story writing and poetry competitions for students with book prizes and certificates.
Students work was also showcased in large display folders across the UK at Literary Festivals, Libraries and Community Meetings.
・May – Was Massive!
Love Large Print Project (LLPP) was represented at the Ireland International Literary Festival in Dublin where we spoke with the Festival Team, Authors, Interpreters, publishing groups and book stores who were all very supportive. We took a tip to visit the Chester Beatty Museum which was very beautiful with an impressive lifelong collection of written works, art & unusual artifacts from all over the world.
Also in May - LLPP was selected to exhibit at the Hay-on-Wye International Literary Festival in Wales. We were there for the whole 13 days of the festival (a real marathon event) where we held visual displays and ‘Pop UP’ performances of poetry & song culminating in an ‘Open Mike’ for visiting performers of all kinds.
・June and July - was a time of collating all our resources freely given to us by wonderful people and organizations LLPP met on our travels and at festivals. We then set about developing a resource page to be included in our official website for everyone to access from across the UK and beyond!
・August – Love Large Print Project (LLPP) attended the Edinburgh International Literary Festival where we met with their wonderful Access Team who introduced us to some very special Authors and Publishers who had taken time out of their professions to develop and publish an amazing Guide for Festival Organizers on Accessibility and Inclusion for all people, and especially for those with a disability. Go to www.lovelargeprint.com for more details.
・September /October- Another busy timefor LLPP: We travelled to Leicester to host an event for the Leicester City Central Library. It was a great opportunity to introduce our campaign to the Midlands region and their diverse ethnic group of creative people. The Highlight of this trip was the wonderful reception and tour we were given by Ulverscroft/Reading House in Anstey, where we met with the wonderfully efficient and helpful Roxane Coetzer, her Fabulous Executive Team, and the Warehouse Workers.
It was a sheer delight all day – so many happily committed people, stories and large print books to peruse.
・November & December – are 2 Big
News Months for Love Large Print Project (LLPP) as we take LLPP across the globe to Australia (the Land Down-under) where the natives are friendly, supportive of LLPP initiatives, and extremely talented too.
We are looking at Cross Cultural Collaborative ventures in 2026 – all very exciting!
*LLPP has been invited to the NLA (National Library of Australia) in Canberra to meet with their Executive Engagement Team and other Staff members on 15th December 2025 with a view to collaborative ventures and LLPP representation at NLA events.

LLPP are honored to work collaboratively with Laura in her quest.
