🎤 Meet Jonny Davies

What if your career doesn’t have to follow a straight line?
Jonny Davies’ journey certainly didn’t. After studying Law with Business at the University of Birmingham, he started out in football representation before moving into esports, creator management, and eventually working with some of the biggest names in the creator economy, including Ali Abdaal, Max Klymenko, and Simon Squibb.

Today, Jonny is Co-Founder and CRO of Dream, helping build businesses around a simple idea: more people should have the tools and confidence to create opportunities for themselves. And at TEDxTUDarmstadt 2026, he will explore graduate employment, entrepreneurship, ambition, and the uncertainty that comes with figuring out what comes next.

🎤 Meet Ivana Steiner

What if our waste problem isn’t a consumer problem - but a design problem? Ivana Steiner is a Vienna-based architect who has chosen to rethink one of the most familiar spaces in our homes: the kitchen.
Instead of designing traditional buildings, she designs systems for a zero-waste future - questioning how we shop, cook, store, and manage what we throw away.

Because our daily habits aren’t inevitable. They are shaped by the spaces and systems we design around them. And those few square meters in our kitchens might tell us more about the future of our cities than we think.

At TEDxTUDarmstadt 2026 Conference, Ivana will show us how a single kitchen can become a blueprint for tomorrow’s sustainable, zero-waste city.

🎤 Meet Prof. Dr. Christian Bürgy
What happens when technology becomes part of the way we think, work, and experience the world? Prof. Dr. Christian Bürgy is Dean and Professor of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at Hochschule Darmstadt with more than two decades of experience at the intersection of academia, industry, and innovation.

His expertise spans software engineering, human-machine interfaces, BIM, and mobile and wearable computing. After earning his PhD in Computer-Aided Engineering and Management from Carnegie Mellon University, he continued to explore how technology can shape the way we interact with our environments. As an entrepreneur and managing partner of teXXmo Mobile Solution, he has also led research and development projects in wearable technologies and industrial applications.

At TEDxTUDarmstadt 2026 Conference, Christian will bring his perspective on technology, innovation, and the possibilities that emerge when we dare to think beyond established patterns.

A Wall Street executive, investor, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, Richard has built a career spanning Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank, and his current role as President of Benefit Street Partners. He has also stepped beyond finance to found KASAI Elite Grappling Championships — turning a passion for Jiu-Jitsu into a major part of his life.

But Richard’s story is about more than titles and achievements. It’s about success, luck, unexpected opportunities, and the moments that can completely change the direction of a life.
