Almost 1 in 5 girls aged 15–19 in Namibia has already had a child or is currently pregnant. By age 19, that number rises to 1 in 3.
Behind every statistic is a young woman navigating poverty, limited access to education, and often circumstances that were never her choice.
Teenage pregnancy doesn’t just affect a girl’s health — it can close doors to education, training, and financial independence at the very moment in life when those doors should be wide open.
💛 Young mothers don’t just need medical care. They need safety, education, counselling, childcare, and a real chance at an independent future.
That’s exactly what we’re building at Okukura Education & Prevention Center — a space where teenage mothers can continue learning, develop skills, and create a better future for themselves and their children. 🌱

✨ Meet Toivo ✨

POV: The Wi-Fi works, the lights are on, nothing’s leaking, and the kids are safe…

Yeah, that’s probably Toivo. 😌🔧

Part-time Business Management student. Full-time “I got it” guy.

He’s the reason we don’t have to Google “how to fix…” every five minutes. Absolute maintenance MVP. 🫡

Thanks for keeping HOME iNAMi and Nambani Guesthouse running like clockwork. We appreciate you, Toivo! 💙

🧵✨ NAMpads meets FEMpowerment
Since February 2026, our teen mums have been gathering weekly — needles in hand, stories to share. In our sewing workshops, they’re learning a skill that can earn them an income and crafting reusable period pads for school children in our community. Stitch by stitch, they’re supporting each other through motherhood — and keeping girls in school. 💚🩸

Our hidden talent: Joseph our school bus driver loves to join them every Friday! He is an amazing teacher and breaks the gender bias! Thank you for joining us! 🫶🏻🫶🏾

Every child deserves to grow up in a safe, caring, and protective environment. 🧡

In May, Wadadee cares and .house brought together team leaders and staff members from each of our partner projects for a two-day Child Protection & Safeguarding Workshop in Windhoek. Through interactive discussions, practical case studies, and shared experiences, participants strengthened their knowledge on child rights, safeguarding, positive discipline, and how to recognize and respond to child protection concerns.

💬 By investing in the people who work directly with children every day, we are helping to create safer environments and stronger support systems across our projects.

✨ Help us make the next workshop possible by donating with ref “Workshop” and help us continue building safe spaces for vulnerable children. 🧡

Namibia’s history is painful in many ways — but it is also deeply rooted in strength, culture, and survival.

Long before colonisation, communities across Namibia had their own languages, traditions, ways of life, and knowledge passed down through generations. And despite everything that was taken, so much of that culture is still alive today.

From traditional dress and music to storytelling and community traditions, culture continues to connect people to their roots and to each other.

This post is a reminder that history is not only about what was lost, but also about what was endured. 🇳🇦

The children from iNAMi had the most magical day at N/a’an ku sê Wildlife Sanctuary — one of Namibia’s most renowned conservation projects — where they got up close with some of the country’s most extraordinary animals and learned what it truly means to protect them. 🦁🐾
From meeting rescued wildlife to hearing passionate conservationists share their stories, these young minds soaked up every moment. Because the next generation of conservation heroes starts right here — with curiosity, compassion, and a deep connection to the land they call home. 🌍
A heartfelt thank you to the entire N/a’an ku sê team for the wonderful invitation and for opening your doors and your hearts to these amazing kids. 💛
And a very special thank you to our volunteer Marion, whose generous sponsorship made this unforgettable day possible. It’s people like you who turn dreams into memories. 🌟
Days like this plant seeds that grow into a lifetime of care for nature and wildlife. 🌱

Meet Mr. Wadadee himself - founding member of Wadadee Cares and the mind behind the name. Born and raised in Katutura, he shaped our vision, purpose and passion to standup for the children. He served on our board for almost 10 years and remains a close friend and trusted supporter - just a phone call away 🧡
