They talked about IAESTE internship how to apply and about their experience what it means to work abroad 🌍 if you are interested to do an internship you can register till the 15th of January online at the IAESTE Exchange Platform ⚡️✔️

Internship report from Annika who did her internship in Ghana, Africa. 🇬🇭🌞

“I arrived in the evening at Kumasi airport where an IAETSE member from Ghana picked me up and drove me to the hostel I stayed. I shared my room with Eunice from Ghana she is really friendly and helped me with all my problems in the beginning. Five other interns from Europe also stayed at my floor and we had a great time together.

My work was at an architecture office close to the place where we lived. I worked there with 5 architects and 11 other interns from Ghana. I learned a lot of new things and worked on interesting projects. The working mentality is very relaxed over here and everybody spoke English so I had no big issues to get in contact with all the people. I made friends with the other interns and we always had lunch together or worked on projects like a new museum for Ghana. I really enjoyed the work at my office and can recommend everybody to do the step and discover something new in their field of study.

Beside the work I had the opportunity to travel a lot and by now I know so many places all over Ghana. The weekend trips were organized by an IAESTE member and always a lot of fun. For example, we went to the Coast stayed at a small fishing village and were surfing a lot. Every weekend we went to different places like big lakes or beautiful waterfalls inside the country. To travel is a big adventure here, especially because they don’t have a lot of tourism in Ghana. You never know what will happen next even if you plan everything. The weekend trips with the other interns were definitely my highlights. 🌊🌴

Additionally, I should add that the people in Ghana are very friendly and openminded. All in all, it was an amazing experience and I learned so much for myself. I can only recommend everyone to go abroad and make your own experience with an internship in a foreign country.” ✨🌏🌍🌎

IAESTE cooking evenings👨🏼‍🍳👨🏼‍🍳 we had a lot of fun this month with our cooking events 🥳 amazing food from different countries 🌍thanks everyone who prepared food and also everyone who enjoyed it 😆 can’t wait for the next cooking evening 🙏
