On the 28th of March, YESOLP proudly took part in the Nicosia Antiracist Festival ✊🏽🌍 organised by Generation for Change CY.

We would like to sincerely thank Generation for Change CY for organising such an important and inspiring event that brings communities together to stand against racism and promote inclusion.

A big thank you to all our amazing volunteers who joined us and represented YESOLP with passion and dedication 💛

It was a great opportunity to connect with so many people, share our work, and exchange ideas on how we can build a more inclusive and united society.

As part of the BIG PROJECT v.ll – Bridging Inclusion and Integration Gaps, YESOLP continues to engage directly with local communities through awareness and outreach activities✊🏽

Through on-the-ground interactions, conversations, and community engagement, we aim to raise awareness on the challenges faced by young migrants, refugees, young people with fewer opportunities but also young locals, while promoting inclusion, solidarity, and active citizenship.

These outreach actions play a key role in connecting with new participants, strengthening community ties, and ensuring that more young people can access opportunities, share their voices, and actively participate in society 🌍💛

Every connection we create brings us closer to a more inclusive, understanding, and united community.

Στο πλαίσιο του BIG PROJECT v.II – Bridging Inclusion and Integration Gaps, το YESOLP συνεχίζει να έρχεται σε άμεση επαφή με τις τοπικές κοινότητες μέσα από δράσεις ενημέρωσης και προσέγγισης ✊🏽

Μέσα από επιτόπιες δράσεις, συζητήσεις και ενεργή συμμετοχή στην κοινότητα, στοχεύουμε στην ευαισθητοποίηση γύρω από τις προκλήσεις που αντιμετωπίζουν νέοι με μεταναστευτικό υπόβαθρο, πρόσφυγες, νέοι με λιγότερες ευκαιρίες, αλλά και ντόπιοι νέοι, προωθώντας παράλληλα την ένταξη, την αλληλεγγύη και την ενεργό συμμετοχή στα κοινά.

Οι δράσεις αυτές διαδραματίζουν καθοριστικό ρόλο στη σύνδεση με νέους συμμετέχοντες, στην ενίσχυση των δεσμών της κοινότητας και στη διασφάλιση ότι περισσότεροι νέοι έχουν πρόσβαση σε ευκαιρίες, μπορούν να εκφράσουν τη φωνή τους και να συμμετέχουν ενεργά στην κοινωνία 🌍💛

🎉We are joining the Nicosia Antiracist Festival 2026

✨We are happy to be part of the Nicosia Antiracist Festival 2026, taking place on 27 and 28 March at the University of Nicosia.
You can find us on Saturday, 28 March at the Open Amphitheatre from 14:00 to 21:00, where we will be hosting a kiosk to share our work, connect with the public, and engage in conversations.

🌻We invite our community to come meet us, learn more about our work, and take part in a vibrant day of activities, creativity, and exchange.
The festival brings together more than 50 contributors, including NGOs, artists, cultural practitioners, activists, musicians, and community groups from Cyprus and beyond, creating a space for dialogue, collaboration, and collective action.

BIG PROJECT started as a vision, a space where migrants, locals, and vulnerable groups could come together to learn, share, and co‑create a more inclusive Cyprus.

In BIG PROJECT VOL. I, a Cypriot and migrant youth, built connections, created networks, and formed lasting bonds.

Now, BIG PROJECT VOL. II takes everything to the next level, bringing young people across Cyprus together with a shared purpose:
- Stronger intercultural dialogue
- More creative and inclusive empowerment
- Increased youth participation and engagement
- Activities that respond to real youths' needs

This is more than a project; it is powered by youth

Now, BIG PROJECT VOL. II builds on those achievements, expanding our mission with new goals, deeper impact, and a wider reach.

This new volume strengthens what we started through: Stronger intercultural dialogue, more creative & digital empowerment, expanded youth participation, activities shaped by real community needs

Strengthening Human Rights and Civil Society in Cyprusy.

YESOLP (YESOLP President Robavine) had the privilege of attending a round‑table discussion with Sirpa Rautio, Director of the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA), alongside several civil society organisations in Cyprus. (January 22, 2026).

The conversation was rich, timely, and deeply relevant. We explored the current human rights landscape in Cyprus, the practical challenges faced by CSOs and the pressing issues surrounding migration and the rule of law.

This gathering also provided space for the Director or FRA to share FRA’s ongoing work with civil society, its role within the new EU Civil Society Strategy, and the ways FRA aims to strengthen and support organisations as they continue their vital mission.

Engaging in these discussions reaffirmed the importance of collaboration, accountability, and shared commitment to protecting fundamental rights for all.
