The new World Cancer Day theme 2025-2027 “𝑼𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒃𝒚 𝑼𝒏𝒊𝒒𝒖𝒆” places people at the centre of care and their stories at the heart of the conversation.

On World Cancer Day, let’s 𝒉𝒐𝒏𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝒘𝒆’𝒗𝒆 𝒍𝒐𝒔𝒕, 𝒔𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒓, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒔𝒆 𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 for better prevention and treatment options.

𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐬 — 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫.
Each diagnosis carries with it a unique human story, filled with 𝑔𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑓, 𝑝𝑎𝑖𝑛, ℎ𝑒𝑎𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑔, 𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑐𝑒, 𝑙𝑜𝑣𝑒, and so much more.
This is why a people-centred approach to cancer care, one that truly considers each person’s unique needs with compassion and empathy, is key to achieving the best health outcomes.
