Supportive family relationships, stimulating and safe early environments and quality early learning opportunities contribute significantly to children's future education, health, economic and social outcomes. It is every child's right to be nurtured by communities knowledgeable about early childhood development (ECD), having the capacity to help their children attain their best developmental poten

tial. ECDI's mandate is to promote knowledge of ECD in West African and among West Africans in Canada and partner with families, communities and government to support optimal development for West African children.
