The Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps 153 Woodstock is leaving its home at “The Ship” in Southside Park. Officially known as The Commander David J.B. Stock CStJ. CD. QC. Cadet Training Centre, The Ship has been the home of the Sea Cadets in Woodstock since 1976. In its 50 years, thousands of young people from Woodstock and area have learned leadership skills, citizenship, and nautical skills. More importantly, they have built relationships and lifelong friendships within the Cadet program.

To celebrate its 50-year home, RCSCC 153 Woodstock is hosting a Ship Closing Ceremony on Saturday, 6 June 2026 immediately following our Annual Ceremonial Review. This event is an opportunity for anyone who has been a cadet, officer, or volunteer to say farewell one more time to our current home.

The Cadets and Staff of 153 Woodstock cordially invite everyone who has been associated with The Ship to join us at the Closing Ceremony. Please bring photos and memorabilia you may have to show our current cadets what it was like when you were a cadet!
