Our co-founder Dennis John Segatto this years Kidney Walk 2026 Ambassador delivers a message of welcome, encouragement, he has seen incredible advancements during his time. Organ donation saves lives, creates hope, and gives families opportunities for more time together and make more memories. This year the Windsor walk raised $35,000 for The Kidney Foundation of Canada, Windsor & District Chapter. Thank you to everyone's support, the volunteers and sponsors. The Kidney Foundation of Canada Windsor Chapter is having a Kidney Walk on October 4, 2026 location Riverside Sportsman Club. The founder of this organization Dennis John Segatto will be walking along side with Niva Segatto. Kidney Foundation has made many strides in the years and still supporting the cause to end kidney disease. It was a pleasure for Dennis John Segatto to be a guest speaker at A Day For Life charity golf tournament. His journey with illness and the best medical procedure was a kidney transplant. A former football player that Dennis coached in high school came forward was never aware he had an organ transplant. Currently there are 1750 on the waiting list in Ontario. Thank you to the committee honoring the memory of Trevor Louis Funkenhauser an organ donor a hero. You can register to be a donor at Beadonor.ca/wegiftoflife.

On April 6, 2018, Saskatchewan’s Humboldt Broncos hockey team was in a tragic bus crash. Sixteen people were killed, including Logan Boulet. Because of Logan’s decision to register as a donor, he saved six lives through organ donation.

April 7 was established as National Green Shirt Day to honour Logan’s act of kindness and encourage the cycle of giving.

Today, we encourage you to post selfies wearing your green shirts to show support for organ and tissue donation and to honour donors like Logan whose actions have saved thousands of lives.
