Today, September 23rd, we honour Padre Pio, a beloved saint whose life was devoted to prayer, sacrifice, humility, and an unwavering love for God.

May his famous words remain in our hearts:

“Pray, hope, and don’t worry.”

Through the intercession of Santo Padre Pio and Sant’Ippolito, may God bless and protect our families, our community, the sick and suffering, and all those who are carrying a burden in silence. May we always find strength in prayer and trust in God’s plan.

On behalf of the Sant’Ippolito Festival Committee of Windsor, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Feast of San Gennaro in New York City as you celebrate an extraordinary 100 years of faith, culture, tradition, and community. 🇮🇹🙏

For an entire century, generations have come together in the streets of Little Italy to honour San Gennaro, celebrate their Italian heritage, and pass down traditions that began with those who came before us. To keep something so meaningful alive for 100 years is a remarkable accomplishment and something the entire Italian community can be proud of.

As a committee dedicated to preserving our own traditions here in Windsor, your centennial celebration is an inspiration to us. We can only hope that, with the same love, dedication, and faith, future generations will continue what we have continued and one day follow in your footsteps.

Grazie a tutti i Nonni per tutto quello che avete fatto e continuate a fare per noi. Thank you for your love, sacrifices, wisdom, traditions, and for teaching us the importance of faith and family. The values you have passed down are treasures that we will continue to carry forward for generations to come.

May God and Sant’Ippolito bless all of our Nonni, and may we also remember in prayer those grandparents who are watching over us from Heaven. 🙏❤️

There is something truly special about seeing Italian traditions continue to grow right here in our community.

We are so excited to celebrate the official reboot of Italia Bakery on Erie Street, now proudly locally owned by Gina Aiello! ❤️🤍💚

Italia Bakery has long been part of the Italian presence on Erie Street, and Gina is not only continuing that tradition, but bringing her own special touch to it with the addition of Gina’s Cafe inside Italia Bakery! ☕️🥐🇮🇹

Keeping an Italian staple alive on Erie Street means so much more than simply keeping the doors open. It means preserving a piece of our culture, supporting local business, bringing generations together, and ensuring that the Italian spirit that helped shape Erie Street continues for years to come.

Congratulations to Gina on this exciting new chapter! Your commitment to keeping Italian culture alive and investing in our community is something truly worth celebrating.

Today, we pause to remember the innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001. 🇺🇸🕯️

The Sant’Ippolito Festival Committee of Windsor sends our deepest prayers to the families who lost loved ones, the survivors who carry the memories of that day, and the brave first responders who showed extraordinary courage and sacrifice.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember. May we always honour those who were taken too soon and never forget the strength, unity, and compassion shown in the face of tragedy.

Our prayers are with all those affected by 9/11, in the United States and around the world. May God grant eternal rest to those who lost their lives, comfort to their families, and peace to our world.

🙏 May God bless every soul. May Sant’Ippolito intercede for all those who mourn. We will never forget.

Today we honour Saint Teresa of Calcutta — Mother Teresa, whose Feast Day is celebrated on September 5th. 🙏🤍

Mother Teresa dedicated her life to serving Christ through the poorest, the sick, the forgotten, and those who felt they had no one. Her life reminds us that holiness is not always found in great accomplishments, but in the small acts of love, kindness, mercy, and compassion we offer one another each day.

She saw the face of Jesus in every person she encountered and taught the world that no act of love is ever too small. Her example continues to challenge us to open our hearts, care for those around us, and bring hope wherever there is suffering.

On her Feast Day, may Saint Teresa of Calcutta intercede for our families and our community. May she inspire us to be more compassionate, more generous, and more willing to serve others without expecting anything in return.
