Reagan grew up in Robertsport, a fishing town on Liberia's Atlantic coast with consistent surf breaks and no competitive infrastructure for local youth.

Trained through the Robertsport Surf Club and certified by the International Surf Association, he has since traveled to Ivory Coast and won first place in the junior division.

Stories like Reagan’s show what is made possible by the spark of opportunity.

This is Paynesville, a suburb of Monrovia where Landis and Kent have spent 18 years doing this work.

Over 60% of Liberia's population is under 25. That number sits at the centre of everything Universal Outreach does.

A country so young, with that much potential, needs education and job opportunities to unlock skills that compound, businesses that employ neighbours, graduates who come back and build.

We see your donation as seed capital for a better Liberia, going to fund programs that serve education and economic empowerment. Every program we launch starts the way a startup does: find a market, build a business plan, run the financials.

You could think about funding these programs as “venture donations.” Not because donors get their money back, but because the funds go directly into programs with long lasting impact after the initial spend.

The difference between a donation and a business investment is that the social return is guaranteed. When we plant 10,000 coconut trees with donated funds, those trees produce oil and income for years for the Liberian economy.

A year can change a life.
Sometimes it changes hundreds.

Our 2025 Impact Report is now out, and it tells the story of what happens when opportunity reaches the right people at the right time.

Inside this year’s report:
• 204 students supported through scholarships
• 70 new small business loans issued
• Growing industries in beekeeping, coffee, and coconut oil
• Women launching and expanding businesses
• Communities building greater long-term financial stability

But beyond the numbers are people. Students graduating. Business owners growing. Farmers earning more. Families carrying a little less uncertainty.

Thank you to everyone who continues to walk alongside us in Liberia. Your support is helping create opportunities that keep growing long after the moment they begin.

Bea Valmu had no hives, training, or guaranteed income.

Today he manages his own hives, sells honey through a commercial buyer, and is teaching the next rising beekeepers in his network.

This is the kind of personal opportunity that the development of a new industry can open up.

Every time Landis walks past this building, she thinks about the civil war that ended in 2003. A family built this then fled, and the building hasn't been touched since.

18 years later, she's still here, helping Liberia build what comes next.

Schools, businesses, beekeepers, entrepreneurs. The work is slow and specific, and it matters enormously.

Scale and depth are not a tradeoff. One merely comes before the other.

We often get asked how we plan to scale. The question assumes that going deep in one place means forgoing impact somewhere else, but it does not. That depth is what makes scale possible.

A program that skips depth to chase reach tends to produce neither. That is why our philosophy starts at the core problem that needs to be solved, in a specific county, with specific people, building things that will build the network effects to transcend any one program we run.

For 25 years, our work has been about access – to a classroom, a skill, a small loan that turns an idea into a business that pays school fees, employs a neighbour, and empowers a community.

When you invest in education and economic development together, the whole country rises up.
