LAST CHANCE! We are calling on everyone to come on down to the Wellington Park on Main Street at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday the 8th for one final night of music, dancing, singing, laughing and.......HOTDOG CONSUMPTION! And who better to help us celebrate than THE REASONS, closing out our Music in the Park season with everyone's favourite oldies! 🎸🎶 We want the park PACKED. We want the music LOUD We want the singing LOUDER. We want the dancing. We want laughing and we REALLY want those hotdogs gone! 🌭🤣. So grab your neighbours, friends, family, lawn chairs and dancing shoes and come help us GO OUT WITH A BANG! A huge thank you to the Wellington on the Lake Resident's Association for sponsoring this last event.

The Shadowz will be playing on Tuesday night whether it rains or not - 6 p.m. - Main Street park in Wellington in the gazebo. If it rains, they will move indoors to the Wellington United Church (upstairs) next door.

The PEC Lions Club made 2 donations this past week:
1. We were pleased to present the Wellington United Church with a $1,000 donation as a small thank-you for everything they do for us. They generously allow us to use the church for our Lions meetings throughout the year, and they also open their parking lot to our Music in the Park audience - something our concert-goers certainly appreciate!

2. Earlier in the summer, the PEC Lions listened to a presentation on the PEC HART (Hoarding Action Response Team). This is a coalition of community agencies and emergency response services, led by the municipality of Prince Edward to effectively address hoarding in Prince Edward County. We presented them with $1,500.00 to help cover program costs that include specific trauma based mental health training for their volunteer members and emergency services personnel, and follow-up support to clients.

Dinner Plans? On September 14th from 5 to 8 p.m. the PEC Lions will be at Boston Pizza in Belleville - and yes, eating pizza is officially a good deed for the night. Come enjoy your favourite BP meal, and feel extra good knowing 10% of all food sales will be donated to the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guide program! Also making a special appearance: Walker, a LFC dog guide (he's better behaved than move of us!). Check out the poster for all the details - then grab your family, your friends and anyone who looks like they could be persuaded by a good meal....and come hungry!
