This year, Miller Titerle + Company joined our Truth & Reconciliation Day Ride as our Youth Learning Partner.

Their work brings them alongside Indigenous Nations, nonprofits, social enterprises and community leaders across Canada, so their belief that reconciliation takes listening, learning, relationship-building and action really resonated with what this day is about.

Got a kids’ bike collecting dust? Give it a new ride!

That bike your child has outgrown could become another young rider’s ticket to freedom, confidence and adventure!

On Sunday, October 4, Capital Bike and Ride It Forward are hosting a Bike Donation Drive at Hillside Centre, and we need your help!

We're collecting children’s and youth-sized bikes that can be refurbished and passed along to young riders and families in our community.

⏰ 9 am – 12 pm
📍 Hillside Centre (1644 Hillside Ave)

Our greatest need is for kids’ and youth bikes, particularly those suitable for children ages 5–10.

Capital Bike is looking for passionate community members to join our volunteer Board of Directors!

From helping kids discover the joy of riding to supporting safer, more accessible cycling throughout our region, our work is powered by people who believe in the bicycle's potential to make our communities better.

As a Board Director, you'll help guide our organization's direction, strengthen our impact, and support the programs and people making it all happen.

We're looking for people with a variety of backgrounds and experiences, including governance, finance, fundraising, communications, community development and nonprofit leadership.

You don't need to be a cycling expert. Just bring your skills, perspective and enthusiasm for making a difference.

Join Capital Bike and the BC Cycling Coalition on Wednesday, October 28 for a special community screening of A Simple Machine, an award-winning independent film about debt, freedom, and finding a simpler way to live.

We're making a night of it! Come early for a community reception, connect with fellow riders and cycling enthusiasts, and settle in for a great film. Stick around afterward for a special Q&A with director Mark Alan Hoffman.

What about your Challenge Card? Don’t worry! Since our final station is cancelled, we’re giving everyone a little freebie: Silver and Gold will require one less challenge than originally planned. Your digital challenge logs still count! If you’re using a physical Challenge Card, you can email us a photo at: [email protected] or drop it off at our office mailbox at 1034 Hillside Avenue.
