**THURSDAY OCTOBER 7th, 2021**

ARTSIDEOUT is a large scale, campus-wide celebration of arts and culture at U of T Scarborough. It is primarily designed as an outdoor festival, utilizing both physical outdoor spaces and conceptual outdoor spaces (non-traditional arts venues). ARTSIDEOUT is a result of a wide ranging collaboration between student clubs, student organizers from different programs an

d disciplines, the SCSU and the Department of Arts, Culture and Media. It features the work of over 40 artists and performances by over 20 performers. The day is always jam-packed with things to do and something new to see. ARTSIDEOUT is widening its horizons by accepting submissions from all three U of T campuses!

Submissions are now open for special studio arts, offering the opportunity to be featured in this year’s 2026 ARTSIDEOUT festival 🌸🌞💞Inspired by Florescene, we encourage works that explore growth, transformation, memory, and connection through natural and symbolic forms 🌷☁️

We’re excited to see your creations that align with our 2026 theme, Florescene, across painting, drawing, commissions, sculpture, digital media, mixed media, and more 🌾🦋📸

DEADLINE: JUNE 1st, 2026 at 11:59pm 🕰️‼️

Due to the larger scale of these works, please submit your special projects at least ONE week before the festival 🌞✨

We’re so excited to finally reveal this year’s theme for : Florescene 🌸

Flowers have always carried meaning in quiet ways. Through colour, form, and sea*on, they hold stories of love, memory, change, and growth. Florescene brings together floral and scene, capturing a moment that is still unfolding.

This year’s theme invites you to create within that space. To explore growth, vulnerability, nostalgia, healing, and connection through your own perspective. 🔎🎞️

At UTSC, Florescene reflects something shared. A space where we are all continuously creating, evolving, and becoming.
