ABOUT US:
Our mission is to develop a beneficial community of Muslim Reverts in the Toronto area. If any information or services are needed by new Muslims in the Toronto area we hope to be able to point them in the right direction and to helpful resources. UPCOMING SERVICES:
We plan to provide the following services, God Willing:
(1) Liaison with a local Toronto area based Sheikh to conduct a
monthly "halaqa" so we can gather and learn about core Islamic items (pillars of Islam, Quran, and Sunnah), ask questions, and meet new people to strengthen our community. (2) Social Gatherings to build bonds with our fellow Muslims
(3) List of useful Islamic References and Tools (websites, cds, books, programs, educational institutions)
(4) Welcome Packages for New Muslims
(5) Buddy system, matching new converts or people interested in Islam, with a same gender more seasoned convert or long time Muslim. VOLUNTEERS:
In the near future we may need some additional volunteers – and will post as necessary. As we would like to be a helpful tool for new Muslims we will kindly request any volunteer submissions include a resume, description of tasks you would like to help out in, and how much time you feel you can lend a helping hand for. (Please note right now we are Not looking for volunteers – but we welcome any suggestions that we should do so we can get rolling!)
