Today is Children and Youth in Care Day in Ontario! π
At Rosalie Hall, we are proud to stand with the resilient young people in and from care. This yearβs theme, , invites us to empower the youth to have agency over their stories, their journeys, and their experiences. Because they are not defined by the systems they navigate, but by who they are, their achievements, and the futures they are working to build.
As captured in David Lewis-Peartβs poem "Forget Me Not," many of our youth have "lifted through concrete" to bloom against impossible odds. But no one should have to grow alone. They are seen, they are heard, and they are never forgotten. And they have the power to tell their stories and grow from them.
We all have a role to play in helping these young people blossom. Whether itβs through mentorship, advocacy, or simply celebrating their journey, letβs make sure every child and youth knows they belong to a community that cares.
