☀️ SUMMER IS AROUND THE CORNER! ☀️
As schools close for the summer, children across Canada will be registering for camps, activities, and programs to keep them active, engaged, and learning.
While some families can afford summer camps, many others cannot. At the same time, school food programs that support children throughout the school year are paused until September, creating an additional gap for many children and families.
A huge thank you to Jays Care Foundation for helping make summer accessible for all.
This summer, we will be operating three NO-COST Summer Camp locations across East Scarborough:**
📍 4301 Kingston Road
📍 Joseph Brant Public School
📍 West Hill Collegiate Institute
By removing financial barriers, children from low-income communities can participate in a high-quality summer camp experience at no cost to their families. By delivering camps directly within priority neighbourhood schools and community hubs, we are also reducing transportation barriers that often prevent children from accessing programs.
In addition, campers will receive nutritious snacks throughout the day, helping to support their health, well-being, and ability to fully participate in camp activities.
Through this initiative, hundreds of children will have access to a barrier-free summer experience filled with:

🎨 Arts & Crafts
🌳 Outdoor Adventure & Park Activities
🎬 Movies
💡 Leadership Development
🤝 Team Building & New Friendships
🍎 Nutritious Snacks and Supportive Programming
We are also creating opportunities for teens aged 13 and above through our Leaders in Training (LIT) Program, where young people will gain leadership training, mentorship, volunteer experience, and hands-on opportunities to serve as assistant camp counsellors while developing valuable life and employment skills.
This is not a low-cost program—it is a no-cost program that ensures every child, regardless of family income, has the opportunity to stay active, learn new skills, build confidence, make new friends, and create lasting memories this summer.
Together, we are removing barriers, supporting families, strengthening communities, and investing in the next generation.
