As the cost of food and gas continues to rise, our no cost summer camp is helping ensure that children still have access to sports, positive experiences, and a safe place to grow this summer.

☀️ SUMMER CAMP IS COMING! 🏀⚾🎨

Thanks to the incredible support of Jays Care Foundation , over 300 children will have access to barrier-free, no-cost summer camp programs across our various camp locations in Scarborough this summer.

This means families will not have to choose between putting food on the table and giving their children access to meaningful summer opportunities.

Through this program, children will:
✅ Stay active
✅ Build leadership skills
✅ Make new friends
✅ Learn through sports and recreation
✅ Enjoy a safe, fun, enriching, and positive summer environment

For many children, opportunities like this can be life-changing.

🎉✨ March Break Was a Huge Success! ✨🎉

Our Leaders in Training (LIT) Program was an incredible highlight this March Break! 💛

Through this program, young girls stepped into leadership roles, supporting camp activities, taking on real responsibilities, and growing in confidence as emerging leaders. From helping run programs to mentoring younger campers, they truly demonstrated what it means to lead with purpose. 👏🏾🌟

This initiative created a powerful space for girls to be mentored, empowered, and inspired — building skills in teamwork, communication, and leadership while having fun and making a meaningful impact. 💪🏽✨

A big thank you to the Jays Care Foundation for supporting this work and helping us empower young girls across our community to lead, create, and shine.

The future is bright — and these young leaders are just getting started! 🚀💫

Our second annual Black History Month celebration was truly vibrant, colourful, and unforgettable! 🖤💛💚

From the rich and flavourful food 🍚🍲🐟🍗 to the stunning art displays 🎨🖼️ and powerful cultural presentations 💃🏾🥁🕺🏾, the evening was filled with pride, unity, and joy. The fashion show 👗✨ was a major highlight — bold, elegant, and full of heritage and creativity!

It was more than an event — it was connection 🤝, celebration 🎊, and community at its best. Families, youth, leaders, and neighbours came together in one space to honour history, culture, and excellence.

🌍💙 Happy International Youth Day! 💙🌍

Today, we shine the spotlight on two remarkable young leaders from our community — Aaliyah and Ufuoma!

✨ Aaliyah has been part of our program for the past 5 years, growing into an inspiring role model for her peers.
✨ Ufuoma, new to Canada, has embraced an impactful leadership journey, quickly becoming a shining example of community spirit.

Both serve as Leaders in Training (LITs) and bring life, energy, and joy as our community mascots, embodying what it means to lead with heart.

Through our partnership with Jays Care Foundation programs like RBI, Girls At Bat and Indigenous Rookie League are empowering youth like Aaliyah and Ufuoma to build confidence, leadership, and lifelong skills — on and off the field.
