I'm nowhere near surprised. In fact, I am not surprised at all because I have been arguing with folks online for almost a decade talking about the expansion of neoliberalism in Canada and I've just been looked at like I have three heads. Brian Mulroney was a neoliberal and he sold 9/60 crown corporations in 1984 including the patent to insulin, under the Connaught laboratories. Bring back Canadian insulin. We lost Petro Canada, we lost air Canada, we nearly lost Canada post and now we're being threatened with privatizAtion of the postal service. You know a country without a national postal service isn't a country, right? It's the same with provincial, we are seeing public services being defunded and funds reallocated for years. While who profits? Corporations. Welcome to neoliberalism folks, where if your public service isn't profitable it gets privatized. Doug ford is a neoliberal. Carney is a neoliberal. Most of our two party system is neoliberal..so no the Liberals supporting this is not surprising, it's sad and shameful and borderline treasonous. And I know I'll receive backlash for this but it's the truth. Ontario has been for sale since 2018 and Doug ford is steering the province into America's palms.
