Member Spotlight - Sophie Kolkman

I’m Sophie Kolkman and this is my 3rd year in the Tofield 4-H Beef & Multi Club. I am the club reporter and have really been enjoying this role. The previous 2 years I had done a steer project, but this year I’m doing a woodworking project. We have 2 calf shelters that our woodworking group built this year that we’ll be auctioning off at our Show & Sale on April 28th - we can’t wait to show you what our woodworking group has been up to this year!

Member Spotlight - Bekka Spruyt

My name is Bekka Spruyt. I am a member of the Tofield 4-H Beef & Multi Club. My steers name is Sweetcheeks, he is a Simmental/Angus cross. I feed him a barley and silage ration at 6:30 am and again at 5:30pm. It costs about $70 a month to feed him. I bought him for $4330.00 in October. He will be a well finished steer at our Show and Sale on April 28,2026 at 7:00pm. You are invited to come and see all the hard work that has gone into raising our projects.

Member Spotlight - Cohen Haugen

My name is Cohen Haugen. This is my first year in the Tofield 4-H Club as a junior member. This is my beef project, his name is Nacho. He is Simmental/Angus steer. I feed him morning and night. He gets straw for bedding every 2 days. I work very hard to keep him healthy. I will be selling him April 28, 2026 at the Tofield Arena. Please come join us for supper at 5pm and the sale at 7pm.
