Maybe you love numbers. Maybe you’re a connector. Maybe you have fresh ideas for programming, marketing, or making things run smoothly. Maybe you’re simply curious about helping create what comes next.

We’re welcoming conversations with people interested in our boards and committees. Tell us what interests you.

Hi friends,

Volunteering is such a gift. We’re grateful for all the ways you’ve helped bring Windscape Kite Festival and Long Day’s Night to life. This October, we have a chance to share that generosity with our neighbours.

Haunted Town of Lil-Sur-Mer is a volunteer-run fundraiser for local charities and non-profits, and they’re looking for people to help on October 16, 17, 23, 24, and 30.

There are a few ways to join the fun:

🔸 Scare houses: Play a character — including a pirate, if you’re ready to welcome “new recruits” aboard.

🔸Carn-evil: Help with spooky carnival games or tickets. A costume is needed; some are available to borrow.

🔸Scare-rena: Dress up and give guests a good scare. This may be a good fit if you can help for just one evening.

Regular shifts are 6 p.m. to around midnight. If you need to leave a little early, ask the Haunted Town team whether a Carn-evil or Scare-rena role could work.

🔸Interested? Email [email protected] or send a DM to Haunted Town of Lil-Sur-Mer

and let them know which date and role interest you. They can answer questions and coordinate your shift directly.

No pressure at all — we simply wanted to pass along a chance to have some fun and help another community event. Thank you for all the ways you show up.

Have a spooky good time.

What if your ideas helped shape the next chapter of Windscape Kite Festival and Long Day’s Night? 🪁🎶

We’re inviting people from Swift Current and southwest Saskatchewan to explore joining our boards and committees.

We’d love to meet people who bring fresh ideas, care about arts and community, and enjoy creating alongside others. You do not need experience running a festival.

We’re especially looking for people comfortable with finance and budgeting, and for new energy across programming, volunteering, operations, marketing, human relations and community connections. We hope to welcome new board members as well as people to strengthen our committees.

Curious? Start with a conversation, not a commitment.
Fill out our short interest form at [https://forms.gle/LMgDjvH6b1PF5bYt5],
or email [[email protected]].

You can also meet current board and committee members at our open house on Thursday, November 5, from 6–7 p.m. Let us know by November 2 if you’d like to come.

Know someone who should see this? Please share it with them.
