For the last twenty-five years, Peter MacDonald Productions has been producing musicals in St. Having produced twenty-five shows to date. The directing staff of Peter MacDonald Productions consider themselves foremost as educators, and produce musicals to enable students of the performing arts the opportunity to experience the joy and thrill of performing in a large scale musical theatre productions. In December of 1996, Scrooge opened with a mixed cast of 40 parents, teachers and students. Today, Peter MacDonald Productions reaches outside the scope of their studios, with cast sizes sometimes exceeding 100 people.

🎭❤️ One Last Look Back at 1996–2006!

Before we turn the page and head into our second decade of PMP memories on Monday, we have one more little trip down memory lane to share!

It’s honestly been SO hard not to keep posting these! We’ve had such a blast digging through the archives, reliving these moments, and sharing them with all of you. There are just SO many memories, familiar faces, and little gems we’d love to share. We could keep going forever!

What a wonderful first 10 years it was! So many shows, unforgettable performances, behind-the-scenes moments, and friendships that helped build the PMP family we know today.

We hope you’ve been enjoying these trips down memory lane as much as we’ve enjoyed bringing them back to life

💍 30 Years of PMP – A Little Love, Laughter & Marriage!

Apparently, one production just wasn’t enough for our team in 2003. So, they decided to take on something a little different and bring us I Do! I Do!

Starring Peter and Ronalda MacDonald as the couple navigating a lifetime of marriage, this production took us through all the ups and downs, the highs and lows, the arguments, the laughter, and everything in between that comes with sharing a life together.

With Valerie Long at the piano, and the incredible choreography led by Mara Noftal, this was a whole lot of fun packed into one very entertaining production. What an amazing team ❤️

Another Throwback!
30 Years of PMP – Growing Up Together! 🎭

As we look back at our first decade (1996–2006), we wanted to shine a spotlight on the young performers who helped make those early years so special!

Look at these familiar little faces! Many started out in our children’s chorus or as a teenager and, year after year, grew into confident performers, eventually finding their way into our adult chorus, dance chorus or a leading role. We’ve had the privilege of watching them grow up, discover their talents, build confidence, and make lifelong friendships along the way.

And that’s one of the most wonderful things about PMP. Over the past 30 years, we’ve watched generations of young people find their place in this community. It’s about so much more than the shows. It’s the friendships formed, the families who become part of the PMP family, the memories made backstage, and the connections that last long after the final curtain.

There’s something incredibly special about watching a little one walk into their first rehearsal and, years later, seeing them sharing the stage with the very people they grew up alongside.

PMP is more than a place to perform. It’s a place to belong, to grow, to find your people, and to become part of something that lasts a lifetime. ❤️

This is just one generation, from our first decade. And what a wonderful generation it was!

WELL… we may have just uncovered the earliest archived version of the famous Mara Noftal end-of-show-run poems!

That’s right… taking you all the way back to Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat in 1997!

If you know, you KNOW! These poems became a beloved tradition, and it’s pretty special to find a little piece of PMP history that goes back this far.

Who remembers these? And more importantly… who remembers being featured in one?

It’s amazing to look back and see just how many talented people have been part of our story over the last 30 years!

✨ Little did our production team know that what they were creating would become such a special Christmas tradition, shared with audiences throughout the next 30 years!

Take a trip back to the very beginning and revisit some of the iconic choreography and songs we all know, love to sing, and hold so close to our hearts. These are the moments that have become part of PMP Christmas history!
