Phase 2: Old Baldy Mountain Park Survey - DUE JUNE 10

The draft plan has been developed using input received during Phase 1 engagement, along with technical information and ongoing planning work. It identifies a long-term vision, management goals, and recommended actions to guide the future care, stewardship, and improvement of Old Baldy Mountain Park over the next 10 to 15 years.

This Phase 2 survey is intended to confirm whether the draft plan reflects what was heard during Phase 1 and to help identify which recommended actions should be prioritized for future implementation. Your feedback will help refine the final Management Plan before it is brought forward for consideration by the CVRD Board.

Broken lake toy blamed for sprawling Shawnigan Lake Styrofoam spill

Still buzzing from the community’s successful clean-up efforts on April 25 at the annual clean-up day, Shawnigan Lake’s Sarah Hughes took to the lake for a paddle on Sunday, May 10. The nature photographer wanted to paddle to the east side of the lake, near St. John’s Academy, and photograph water lilies in a marshy area.
