โš ๏ธ A new website is gaining popularity among youth, reminding us how quickly online trends can change.

One of the best ways to help keep young people safe online is to keep the conversation going. Regular, judgment-free check-ins about the apps, websites, and online spaces they use can help youth feel comfortable coming to a trusted adult if something doesn't feel right.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Need someone to talk to? The Centre is here. Whether you're a parent, caregiver, educator, or young person with questions or concerns about online safety, our team is available to provide support, information, and resources.

๐Ÿ“š Interested in learning more or booking an online safety presentation for your school, organization, or community group? Contact our Public Education Manager, Trish Vanoosterom, at 519-337-3154 ext. 203.

Stay curious, stay connected, and keep talking. ๐Ÿ’œ

Today is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.
Everyone deserves to age with dignity, safety, and respect.

At The Centre, we support individuals of all ages who have experienced gender-based violence or se*ual harm. Through our services and community outreach, including visits to local nursing homes, we are committed to raising awareness, fostering connection, and ensuring older adults know they are not alone.

Together, we can help create a community where everyone feels valued, supported, and safe.

At our Centre, raising the Pride flag is more than a symbolic gesture. It is a visible commitment to safety, inclusion, and belonging.

2SLGBTQIA+ individuals continue to experience higher rates of sexual violence, harassment, discrimination, and barriers to accessing support.

By raising the Pride flag, we affirm that everyone deserves to live free from violence and to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.

The Pride flag sends a message to survivors, community members, and allies that they are seen, valued, and welcomed.

It reflects our commitment to creating spaces where people can access support without fear of judgment and where diverse identities are celebrated.

Pride is not only a celebration of identity it is also a recognition of the ongoing work needed to achieve equity, safety, and justice for all.

Today, and every day, we stand in solidarity with 2SLGBTQIA+ communities and remain committed to fostering a community where everyone can be their authentic selves. ย  ย  ย  ย

Thank you to , and all the folks who made this flag raising event happen. The speakers gave messages of sorrow, joy, pride, and hope.

June is a time to celebrate, honour, and reflect.

This month, we recognize both Pride Month and Indigenous History Month. We celebrate the strength, resilience, diversity, and contributions of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities and Indigenous Peoples across Canada.

At The Centre, we are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone. We proudly support clients of all genders and gender identities and are dedicated to providing culturally responsive, affirming care that respects the unique experiences, histories, and identities of the people we serve.

As we celebrate Pride and honour Indigenous History Month, we reaffirm our commitment to learning, listening, and walking alongside our communities in the pursuit of belonging, dignity, and equity for all. ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿงก
