✨ Community in Action: The Power of Collective Giving ✨

We are feeling incredibly grateful, humbled, and inspired by the power of our local community! 🧘‍♀️💛

Check out this photo from the classic and beautiful lobby at The Josie, where The Josie Hotel x Madhu Collective officially handed over a cheque for $777.25. A number synchronistic with our precious Rossland Range and "7" Summits, we think so. 😀✨️

These funds have been accumulating since the fall, built entirely from the generosity of everyone who stepped onto the mat for our by-donation community yoga classes. Every single dollar adds up, and this total is a beautiful reflection of what we can achieve when we come together.

🤝 The Journey Continues...

They aren’t stopping here! We are thrilled to announce that all future donations from the community yoga classes will continue to go directly to support SRRAC's legal action.

Want to roll out your mat for a cause? Join in:

✨️At The Josie: Every Tuesday! 5-5:45pm

✨️At Madhu: Every Saturday! 9-10am

Thank you to everyone who has donated, all the yogis and instructors. Your support makes a tangible difference. Let’s keep this beautiful energy flowing!

May Recap: Busy Behind the Scenes, Vibrant in the Community 🌲✨

As we step into June, we wanted to take a moment to look back at May. While the court decision is pending, SRRAC has been incredibly busy behind the scenes—and there has been so much life, energy, and action happening across our community!

🫶 Solidarity & Creative Progress

Standing Together: A powerful moment captured in our community group shot in front of the Rossland courthouse. Your presence and solidarity mean everything. Ben Isitt West Coast Environmental Law

The Record Ridge Mixtape: Progress is underway! We are so excited about how this project is coming together with local voices directly impacted.

Creativity for a Cause: Spot the SRRAC socks! We love seeing everyone rock them out in the world. Thanks for your support and make sure to tag us and we'll repost! Rossland Beer Company Revolution Cycles Morgan Bialkowski

SRRAC Collab: Honored to be working with Protect Our Winters Canada to keep amplifying this cause far and wide accross BC. 🙌

🏔️ Connecting with the Ridge

Honoring the Ridge: We had the profound privilege to hike up with Sinixt storyteller .ndn, grounding ourselves with stories, and connection with this irreplaceable place.

Deepening Roots: Sharing space and ideas during our recent talk at the Rossland Museum & Discovery Centre and webinar BC Mining Law Reform.

On the Trails: From runners of the Rossland Run Club tackling the historic Old Cascade Highway to community members hitting our phenomenal mountain bike trails network, May was about movement.

🪻 Celebrating the Season

Spring Blooms & Mountain Love: Taking time to enjoy the vibrant spring flowers and sending some major love to our iconic Seven Summits Trail.

World Bee Day: Celebrating our favorite little pollinators who keep this incredible ecosystem thriving! 🐝

Thank you for standing with us. No matter what June brings, we are strong and moving forward together. 🤝

Stay tuned, stay connected, and we'll see you on the trails!

Today on World Bee Day 🐝,

We honour the native bees weaving through ancient wildflowers on the slopes of Record Ridge — a reminder that the smallest beings hold entire ecosystems together. This living tapestry is so rare that the Record Ridge Grasslands have been recognized as a Key Biodiversity Area, marking it as a place of global ecological significance.

To protect bees is to protect biodiversity. To protect biodiversity is to safeguard the landscapes that sustain all life, including our own. Our future depends on the choices we make now.

🌿 This rare ecosystem is irreplaceable — and it needs protection now.
Support our efforts by making a donation to our GoFundMe today.

🥳 Announcing the "Stay a While" winner...

Yesterday marked the final hours of bidding for Morgan Bialkowski's stunning "Stay a While" framed canvas print, and we are incredibly moved by the response. Thanks to everyone who visited Revolution Cycles and Rossland Beer Company to place a bid, we raised a grand total of $1,620 for the Save Record Ridge Action Committee! 🏔️💜

We are thrilled to announce that the artwork has officially found its home with our highest bidder. Thank you Jon & Sydney!! 🙏

🎉 🎉

While the auction has closed, the true success is what our community is achieving together—every single dollar raised goes directly toward our ongoing legal work to protect the Ridge.

Thanks to Morgan for her incredible talent and generosity, to Revolution Cycles for hosting, Rossland Beer Co for starting the train, and to every single one of you who placed a bid or showed up to support. Your energy keeps this fight alive. 🤝✨️

👉 Want to keep supporting? We have extended our pre-orders for our second batch of the collab socks! 🧦 Visit the merch section of our website at saverecordridge.ca to secure yours. Our Match Campaign is also still going where every donation is doubled—that's double the support in one simple click! 🙌
