Season Passes for the 2026/2027 season are now for Sale! This will be the lowest price of the year and will be only available for the month of May!

We are trying something new this year by offering passes for sale for the month of May. This is different than what Black Jack has done in the past. The Board of Director's Reasoning for the change is because of two factors. The first is the new lodge. With the construction of the Lodge wrapping up this month we are need of some money to pay the final bills of construction. While the majority of the lodge is being paid for through grants these grants will only give 75% of the money upfront and then pay out the remaining 25% of the grant money upon full completion of the lodge. Therefore we are in need of money to pay the remaining construction bills to finish the lodge before we can unlock the remainder of the grant money.

The second reason is the rising costs of everything. With all this uncertainty in the world these days costs are rising everywhere. Most importantly for Black Jack is the rising costs of diesel and snowcat maintenance. By selling passes in May this will allow us to see how many members we are potentially going to have and how much money we will have to operate in the year. This will allow us to properly budget everything through the summer. Our grooming and operating costs are almost exclusively paid for by season pass fees.

We thank you for your support of the club and for purchasing your season's pass in May!

Well last night will most likely be our final groom of the year. We are really losing snow quickly up at biathlon and it feels like summer is here.

It was quite the successful season considering the weather! We opened for skiing as soon as we could , on November 28 and with today being our final day we came very close to offering 5 straight months of cross country skiing. We are one of only a handful of ski clubs in all of North America that is still open for skiing and for our little club we are super proud of that!

We would like to thank all of our members for another incredible year. We had another year with over 1000 Members and without each and every one of you we would not be able to offer the services that we do , so thank you!

Would also like to send a huge thanks to our volunteers, you are all the backbone of this club and you really keep it the special place to ski that it is.

Stay tuned over the next month. We are going to be offering early bird pass sales in May (details coming soon!) and we will have some more lodge updates for you all as well, including a grand opening date!

We hope everyone enjoys the summer!

The skiing is still great!! Let’s hold off on summer and keep winter alive!!

Come on out on Saturday April 18th from 11am-1pm for a sausage BBQ at the Biathlon trailhead. Skiing is free and we are asking for a $5 donation for a sausage or a donation to the new lodge build!

It will also be a great time to show your appreciation for the volunteer grooming that is keeping people skiing at Black Jack! We are one of only a few places in the whole country where you can still ski freshly groomed trails!

Hope to see you out there!

We’re still skiing up at biathlon!

Check out this picture from today of volunteer groomer Peter and Black Jack legend Rémi Drolet!

A huge thank to Peter for keeping this ski season going. Despite the warm temps the skiing has been pretty good!

A reminder that if you see the grooming in progress sign out at the entrance to the trails to please not skate ski on the freshly groomed trails. When that happens it creates big ruts that freeze over night and creates a very dangerous skiing surface the next day.

We thank you for your cooperation.

Well yesterday was the last day of paid grooming at Black Jack. Throughout April we rely on volunteer grooming so grooming may be more sporadic til there is no more snow to ski. A huge thanks to Peter Krampl, volunteer groomer extraordinaire, who will be doing the majority of the grooming over the coming weeks. If you see him be sure to thank him for getting us to continue skiing in April.

I would like to thank our grooming team of Brad, Keegan and Steve for their monumental efforts this season in such tricky snow conditions. What you were all able to pull off was incredible! A huge thanks to the three of you!

Keep up to date on Nordic Pulse for grooming updates.
