Due to life being life, our wonderful Secretary Jen Bremner has made the decision to step down from her role on the DSABC board of directors. She has been an incredible asset to the DSABC, and will be missed! Thank you so much, Jen, for your time and dedication over the last year. We will miss your energy on our team!

With that, we are looking for someone to fill her role! Experience is not required, just a willingness to work as part of a team.

If you're interested in this position, you'd be responsible for:
-monitoring the DSA Secretary email & responding as appropriate
-attending monthly board meetings
-taking board meeting minutes
-issuing notices of monthly members & board meetings via the DSA Membership and BOD Facebook groups

If you haven't renewed yet, your membership will expire at midnight, and you'll need to purchase an Annual Membership rather than a Renewal Membership to rejoin.

Heads up!

Renewal Season will close on Sunday, May 31 at 11:59 pm. If you are a current member who has NOT renewed yet, your membership will expire, and you will not be able to access the members-only section on the website. You'll need to purchase an Annual Membership rather than a Renewal Membership.

Members of the Doula Services Association of BC can now cast their vote for our upcoming Board of Directors. This is your opportunity to help shape the leadership and future direction of our association as we move into an important new chapter together.

Voting is open from:

April 29 at 9:00 AM until April 30 at 5:00 PM

The voting link has been shared by email with all eligible members.

Please note:

• Voting is open to current members only
• Each member may vote only once
• Advanced voting is optional. If you are attending the AGM, please vote live during the meeting instead

Our 2026 AGM is taking place Thursday, April 30 at 8pm! All members are strongly encouraged to attend. We'll be voting in our new board of directors as well as voting on our updated bylaws. Please show up and help us celebrate this fiscal last year and see what our goals are for the upcoming year!

NOMINATIONS ARE STILL OPEN!

Do you love organization? Maybe you've got a secret (or not so secret) love of budgeting and spreadsheets? Maybe you just want to help where we need the most help? If so, we need you! As we've seen in previous years, the treasurer is important and much needed within the DSA.

NOTE: Ideally, this position would be filled by someone in the Lower Mainland area or someone who can travel there in May or June, as the treasurer needs to go to a Vancity bank in person for bank access.
