Another year of Santa Cause has come to a close đ¤
This was our best year yetâboth in donations and in the number of families we were able to support. In total, Santa Cause helped 77 children, reaching families from Alameda to Gainsborough and Carnduff to Redvers.
Being part of Santa Cause is the most rewarding thing we do each year. Every time an item is purchased from the wishlist, a monetary donation is sent, or gifts are dropped off at one of our locations, we get excitedâbecause it means we get to add something special to a childâs gift box. Each child who signs up submits both a wishlist and a needs list, and we shop with those in mind.
Each year we become more efficient with organizing and wrapping, but none of this would be possible without the incredible support of our community and surrounding areas. For two months, we collect donations, and the generosity and feedback continue to amaze us. The season of giving truly is the best season. We hope you feel the same warmth we doâknowing that a child in need is waking up on Christmas morning to an abundance of gifts, or that a parent can breathe a sigh of relief knowing they didnât have to say âwe couldnât afford Christmas this year.â
We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make Santa Cause possible this year. Thank you to the Carnduff Fire Department for hosting gift collections, Redvers Library and Carnduff Affinity for serving as drop-off locations, and Redvers Winterfest and Artemis Dance Redvers for partnering with us to help spread the word in Redvers and act as drop-off locations as well.
A huge thank you to the Carnduff CE Building and the UCW Ladies for providing a wrapping location, and to all of our volunteers who helped wrap giftsâyour time and effort mean more than you know.
And last but certainly not least, thank you to my committeeâMarna Martin, Tammy Martin, Allie Connelly, Kendra Miller, and Jenna Fossum. Your dedication, organization, and countless hours are what keep Santa Cause running year after year. I couldnât do this without you. đ¤
