🩵 What a wonderful way to welcome everyone back!

There’s nothing quite like having the Aspire team all together in one room!

Our Staff Breakfast was a wonderful opportunity to welcome everyone back, meet some of the many new faces joining Aspire, and celebrate the incredible people who make our work possible every day.

There were plenty of laughs (and a little friendly competition!) during our Kahoot game, and we were especially proud to recognize our long-serving staff members and celebrate their years of dedication to Aspire. 🎉

A heartfelt thank you to our entire team for the passion, care and commitment you bring to children and families every day, and to the wonderful volunteers who helped make our breakfast possible.

We left the morning feeling grateful, connected and ready for the year ahead.

We love what we do... and we love doing it together!

A Special Visit 🩵

We had a special visitor at Aspire today! Mike from SSRD - Southside Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram Fiat stopped by and had one very important person on his must-meet list, Hugs from our Park It program! Of course, Hugs was more than happy to get a hug of her own. 😊

Southside has been an incredible supporter of Aspire and is helping make this year’s Aspire Children’s Raffle possible by sponsoring our amazing Grand Prize.

And what a prize it is!

For Aspire, some of the most valuable connections happen when we come together with other organizations... sharing ideas, learning from one another and discovering new ways to strengthen the communities we all serve.

💜 Meet Mikel and the McIver Family

Some journeys come full circle.

As part of our Journey of Possibility, we're honoured to introduce you to Mikel and the McIver family, who will be featured at this year's 30th Evening of Decadent Dessert.

Mikel was one of the very first children to attend Aspire more than 40 years ago. Today, he's a familiar face in our community, celebrating 26 years with the Red Deer Rebels where his dedication, work ethic and positive spirit have made a lasting impact.

Their story is one of opportunity, belonging, and the pride that comes from watching a child grow into an adult who continues to make a difference in his community.

Hi friends, it’s Hugs! 💗

Remember those little Baby Hugs we were giving away to celebrate all the wonderful memories made at Park It this summer?

Well… these two found a very special home. 🥹💗

Two sisters who spent lots of time playing with us at Park It this summer were chosen to receive a Baby Hugs... and of course, I couldn't send just one home when there were two little Hugs fans!

Their dad stopped by Aspire to pick them up, and then their mom sent us these photos of the girls opening their surprise.

And my Hugs heart just about burst. 💗

There were smiles. There were cuddles. And by bedtime, one Baby Hugs had already found her place tucked safely into bed with her new little friend. 🥹

This is what my summer was all about, helping children feel welcomed, connected and loved, one Hugs at a time. I even received a great big hug from my friend Judy-Ann from Red Deer Rotary Sunrise! What a summer.

Sweet dreams, Baby Hugs. You're right where you belong. 💗

🚘💙 Calling all future Co-Pilots!

Our friends at Central Alberta Dream Drive are looking for children and youth ages 6+ to take part as Co-Pilots in this year’s Dream Drive!

This special experience is open to young people who have faced medical, developmental, physical, emotional or life challenges, giving them the chance to hop into an incredible vehicle and enjoy a day all about fun, possibility and making memories.

We know there are some amazing kids in our Aspire community who would make fantastic Co-Pilots! 💙

💗 A Big Hugs Thank You!

Before we say goodbye to another summer of Park It, there are three very special people I need to thank... Kendra, Shayla and Kaitlyn.

I got to watch them spend their summer creating, playing, laughing, encouraging and making sure every child who came to Park It felt welcome and included.

They are talented. They are creative. They are kind, and they are sooooo good with children! 💗

Kendra, Shayla and Kaitlyn, thank you for all the heart you put into Park It and for making this summer so special for our children and families.

I loved being part of your team, and I especially loved all the HUGS! 🥰 Thank you to Red Deer Rotary Sunrise, you are the best. Now I think we’ve earned a little rest...

🧁💐 A Sweet Surprise at Aspire

We had a very special delivery today... this beautiful bouquet of cupcakes, thoughtfully made for our Aspire staff.

The generous donor wishes to remain anonymous, but we couldn’t let this lovely act of kindness go without saying thank you.

Thinking of our team and taking the time to brighten their day means so much. We are incredibly grateful for the kindness of our Aspire community. 💙💚
