Waste Reduction Week is a week in Canada that occurs every October, dedicated to educating and raising awareness about how we as a society can work together to reduce green house gas emissions, preserve natural resources, water and energy and protect the oceans that provide 50%-80% of the oxygen on Earth thanks to microorganisms and marine plants within that benefit from marine animals who face severe and life threatening issues due to poor waste management, including: Dead zones, entanglement, waste ingestion, toxic chemicals and general contamination.
Picking up litter and partaking in good waste management behaviours can aid towards making a difference.
With your help we can make our world and environment a better, healthier place!
