The wait is finally over!

After Mother Nature put our Canada Day fireworks on hold, Round Two is happening TONIGHT at Claudette Cain Park.

Grab your lawn chairs, blankets, family and friends, and join us for a fantastic summer evening, proudly sponsored by the Riverside South Limited Partnership (Urbandale, Richcraft & HN Homes).

🕢 7:30 p.m. - Music begins
🌟 Glow products for sale (cash only)
🍿 Snacks and drinks available at the fieldhouse canteen (cash only)
🎆 9:30 p.m. - Fireworks light up the sky!

It's the perfect way to spend a summer evening with your neighbours, so come early, find your favourite spot, and enjoy the fun before the big show.

🚶 Parking is very limited, so if you can, please walk or use nearby parking lots.

Over the next few weeks, you’ll see our crews in Riverside South-Findlay Creek completing critical upgrades following last week’s three outages. The recent interruptions were caused by a large tree contacting a line on July 28, followed by separate switching equipment failures on August 2 and 4. This week, crews are replacing both failed switch components, followed by proactive preventive maintenance on two additional vulnerable units to prevent future issues. Thank you for your patience during this work.

Au cours des prochaines semaines, vous verrez nos équipes à Riverside South-Findlay Creek réaliser d'importantes mises à niveau à la suite des trois pannes survenues la semaine dernière. Les interruptions récentes ont été causées par un grand arbre qui est entré en contact avec une ligne le 28 juillet, suivi par des défaillances distinctes d'équipements de manœuvre les 2 et 4 août. Cette semaine, les équipes remplacent les deux composants d'interrupteurs défectueux, avant de procéder à de l'entretien préventif sur deux autres unités vulnérables afin d'éviter de futurs problèmes. Nous vous remercions de votre patience pendant la durée de ces travaux.

The City's Planning, Development & Building Department is holding a public open house tomorrow evening (Tuesday, July 28) for the Bowesville – Riverside South – Future Neighbourhood plan.

This event will present the area’s existing conditions, opportunities and constraints, and evaluation of alternative solutions, as well as the draft servicing, mobility, and land use plans. It is an opportunity for the project team to share plans for the future of this community and for community members and stakeholders to ask questions and provide feedback.

Format: Presentation at 7:00PM
Location: Fred Barrett Arena – Lion's Hall second floor - 3280 Leitrim Rd
