Since 2002, The Willow Foundation has provided funding for programs and initiatives that enrich the lives of older adults served by Halton Region Services for Seniors. As a volunteer-led registered charity, we support residents and clients in Halton Regions owned and operated long-term care homes, adult day programs, and assisted living services by funding opportunities that go beyond traditional care funding.
As a Board Member, you can:
• Help shape the future of a growing local charity
• Apply your skills and expertise to create meaningful impact
• Build connections with community leaders and professionals
• Gain valuable governance, leadership, and strategic planning experience
• Support programs that enhance dignity, connection, wellness, and quality of life for older adults
The Foundation helps fund initiatives such as:
- Music and art therapy
- Therapeutic recreation programs
- Virtual reality and innovative engagement technologies
- Special events and celebrations
- Social connection programs
- Education and wellness opportunities for seniors
We are particularly interested in individuals with experience in:

Previous board experience is welcome but not required. We value diverse perspectives, community-minded leaders, and individuals who are passionate about supporting older adults.
