REGISTER NOW!
The countdown has started for our most significant fundraising event of the year - the Par Excellence Willow Foundation Charity Golf Tournament on Monday, September 14 at 1:00 p.m. With the generosity of our sponsors and golfers, last year we raised more than $40,000. This enabled us to provide numerous hours of support and programming for those we serve. Our goal this year is $60,000, and we need your help to achieve it. Join us for a day full of golf, camaraderie, and a delicious dinner at the beautiful Granite Ridge Golf Club in Milton, Ontario. Not a fan of golf but still want to contribute? Our Foundation would be immensely grateful for any monetary donations or items for our silent auction table.

This campaign is now closed - thank you to everyone who participated!

Easter is hopping up fast and we’ve found a delicious way to treat your family and friends while spreading a little extra sweetness to those we serve. After the success of our Christmas Purdy’s fundraiser, we thought… why stop there? So we are launching "The Willow Foundation's Sweetest Fundraiser" for Easter!

Stock up on chocolates for baskets, dinner tables, office desks (we won’t judge), or that “just one more” evening treat — and know that every bite helps support our cause.

Simply click the link below or scan the QR code to hop over to our Willow fundraising page and place your order.

Thank you for your continued support. We couldn’t do this without you.

The Willow Foundation is dedicated to enriching the lives of older adults living in Halton Region’s three Long-Term Care homes and four Assisted Living facilities. This holiday season, we are excited to launch our Christmas Gift Drive, a special initiative to bring joy and warmth to each of the more than 300 individuals we serve. They have shared their Christmas wish lists with us, and now it’s our turn to make their wishes come true and fill their hearts with joy. We still have 206 seniors with wish lists that need to be fulfilled.

By participating in our "Adopt A Senior" campaign, you can help make this Christmas unforgettable for those who deserve it the most.

Here's what you need to know::
Adopt one (or more!) seniors and purchase the specific items on their wish list. We will send you a personalized list of requests and will ensure that gifts will be delivered and ready for our seniors to open on Christmas morning.

Drop-Off Options (before December 18):
Access Abilities at 549 Bronte Road, Oakville (during business hours)
OR on December 18, between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. at Creek Way Village Long-Term Care Home, 5200 Corporate Dr, Burlington

Commitment: Suggested value per person: $30 – $40

Next Steps: If you’d like to participate—individually or as a corporate sponsor—please email Melody Pitts, Chair of the Board, at [email protected], and a wish list will be sent to you.

We thank you for your generosity and for spreading Christmas cheer to our most worthy older adults. Your kindness truly makes a difference.

Local Burlington author Chris Milligan has graciously offered to donate a portion of the proceeds from his new book to our Foundation.

The novel is a labour of love in honour of his wife, Mary, a Creek Way resident. It was her original idea, and challenge to Chris. Sadly, over the past decade, Mary has been living with Vascular Dementia and is no longer able to read the book that was lovingly written for her.

In celebration of his 80th birthday and nearly six decades of marriage, Chris is generously donating a share of his book’s proceeds equally between the Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation and Creek Way Village Long-Term Care Facility (The Willow Foundation)—two institutions in Burlington, Ontario, that have played a meaningful role in his and Mary’s journey.

As Chris beautifully puts it, "The dedicated love and care these two local institutions demonstrate daily towards all their patients is truly marvellous."

We are deeply grateful to Chris for his thoughtfulness and generosity. We wish him every success with this meaningful book and thank him for including The Willow Foundation in such a special tribute.

Families, volunteers and residents of Allendale Long-Term Care home in Milton celebrated their annual Walk & Roll event on September 20. Although the weather was a bit chilly it didn't dampen the spirits of all the participants - a wonderful turnout! Thanks to the Life Enrichment team at Allendale, JR and the wonderful volunteers, including celebrated long time volunteers (and my very good friends) Grant and Karen Hughes, for making this a day to remember.

Family and friends came together to Walk & Roll alongside their loved ones at the annual Post Inn Village Walk & Roll event. We are deeply grateful to everyone who generously donated to The Willow Foundation, helping us continue vital programs such as art and music therapy and virtual reality experiences. The day wrapped up with a lively BBQ, live entertainment, raffles, and prizes. A heartfelt thank-you to the Life Enrichment team at Post Inn for organizing such a joyful and memorable event.

Congratulations to Post Inn Village!

Since its opening in Oakville in 2005, Post Inn Village has cared for and supported over 1,576 older adults in our community. Over the past twenty years, with the assistance of more than 100 dedicated volunteers, the team has served over five million meals and snacks, created more than 1,200 life enrichment calendars filled with engaging recreational activities, and provided countless hours of medical and emotional support to ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of residents. The Willow Foundation is proud to fund life enrichment programming for this remarkable long-term care home. Here's to many more years of compassion, community, and care.
