We've received box after box of medical supplies, clothing, shoes, and more, thanks to the generosity of so many. 💙 On the other side there are names and faces waiting: a mother, a grandfather, a child — families in Cuba who need your help today.
Now the challenge is logistics and shipping.
Each 20 kg box from Canada to Cuba costs $225 CAD in freight. We already have the supplies — what we're missing is that final push to get it to those who are waiting.

🇨🇺❤️🇨🇴 When one people's pain becomes our own
Today our organization Helping Hands for Cuba sent 18 boxes filled with hope for those affected by the earthquake in Colombia: medical supplies, clothing, shoes, and toys that will reach families who have lost everything, and children who need to feel that someone is thinking of them.
We can't erase the pain of those who lost it all, but we can lend a hand, embrace from a distance, and remind them they are not alone.

In II Frente, Santiago de Cuba, our Helping Hands for Cuba team delivered a new donation of much-needed medical supplies:
🔹 Foley catheters
🔹 Urine collectors
🔹 Lubricant
In total, 40 Foley catheters were delivered: 21 directly to patients in the community, and the rest remained at the hospital to continue supporting those in need.
Every supply that reaches Cuban hands is made possible thanks to those who support us with their hearts and their donations. Thank you for making it possible for us to keep bringing health, dignity, and hope to those who need it most. 🇨🇺❤️

On August 10th, a magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck western Colombia, leaving hundreds of victims, thousands of affected families, and entire communities in crisis. Cities like Cali, Manizales, Pereira, and Quibdó are facing severe structural damage and an urgent need for humanitarian aid.
At Helping Hands for Cuba, our mission has always been to bring medical supplies to those who need them most. Today, we're extending that mission to Colombia.

El pasado 10 de agosto, un terremoto de magnitud 7.4 sacudió el occidente de Colombia, dejando cientos de víctimas, miles de familias afectadas y comunidades enteras en emergencia. Ciudades como Cali, Manizales, Pereira y Quibdó enfrentan hoy graves daños estructurales y una necesidad urgente de ayuda humanitaria.
Desde Helping Hands for Cuba, nuestra misión siempre ha sido llevar insumos médicos a quienes más lo necesitan. Hoy extendemos esa misión hacia Colombia.

Behind every delivery is a mother who waits and a baby who needs. At Helping Hand for Cuba, we bring united hands and the certainty that Cuba is never alone.
This week we delivered 6 breast pumps to a hospital in Holguín province, to support new mothers during the first and most important days with their babies.
The medical staff's reception said it all: sincere gratitude and the will to keep caring, despite the shortages.

Esta semana entregamos 6 extractores de leche materna al hospital de la provincia de Holguín, para acompañar a las puérperas en los primeros y más importantes días junto a sus hijos.
