At Helping Hands for Cuba, we delivered a major batch of medical supplies to our partners at the Canadian Calixto García Brigade and the Containers4Cuba Association. 🏥✨

They will take this contribution directly to hospitals and polyclinics in eastern Cuba (Holguín and Santiago de Cuba). These supplies will arrive in Cuba this coming November.
📦 Supplies donated directly by Helping Hands for Cuba:
🩺 Sphygmomanometers (blood pressure monitors) and a nebulizer for asthma patients.
💉 Syringes, punctures, dressings, medical tape, and IV administration sets.
🩸 Complete urinary catheters with drainage collection bags.

Helping Hands for Cuba recently delivered syringes to insulin-dependent patients in the municipality of Los Arabos, Matanzas, Cuba.

Behind this delivery is a real need and a mission we must continue. For people who depend on insulin, having access to the supplies they need for their treatment is essential.

En el municipio de Los Arabos, Matanzas, Helping Hands for Cuba hizo posible una entrega de jeringuillas para pacientes insulinodependientes.

Detrás de esta entrega hay una necesidad real y una misión que debemos continuar. Para quienes dependen de la insulina, disponer de los insumos necesarios para su tratamiento es fundamental.

📦 Hoy tenemos un desafío: conseguir los fondos necesarios para transportar más ayuda humanitaria hasta Cuba.

Podemos reunir insumos médicos, preparar cajas y contar con personas dispuestas a colaborar. Pero, sin los recursos para cubrir el transporte, esa ayuda no puede llegar a su destino.

Some people don't just stand by with their arms crossed. 💙

Today is a very special day for our Helping Hands for Cuba family. 🎂
Today is the birthday of Dr. Aramis Arrieta, the founder and heart of this work.
A man who saw a need and, instead of looking the other way, chose to act. Thanks to him, tons of humanitarian aid have reached Cuba: hospitals, families, and people who were waiting for a gesture of hope.
Thousands of lives touched. Institutions strengthened. And it all began with one decision: not to stand by.
Dr. Aramis, thank you for showing us that a big heart can move mountains (and containers). Thank you for being a great leader for our Helping Hands for Cuba team. 🙏

Today we received a massive blessing: boxes full of syringes, gowns, gauze, and medical supplies, thanks to the generosity of The Needed Not the Greedy, Not Just Tourists (St. Catharines), and Angela Guerrero. Thank you for being the bridge of hope our people so desperately need. 💙
But these boxes can’t heal anyone sitting in a warehouse. To get them into the hands of a patient or family in Cuba, we need to cover the shipping costs.
